getty Are you someone who always takes the initiative, or are you somebody who hangs back and waits? If you are a go-getter and have no problem creating a plan of action, you’re comfortable putting yourself out there.
Since astrology says a lot about our special abilities, skills, and talents, it’s likely that your zodiac sign has something to do with your ability to take the lead. Who are the most motivated zodiac signs?
These individuals know when they should take the initiative, what they should and shouldn’t pursue, and how to do it in a way that not only benefits themselves but someone else as well.
People who take the initiative tend to be outgoing, unafraid to speak up, and are able to discern the people who can help them and the people they need to avoid. They’re leaders, not followers, and they don’t need to be told what to do to know what they need to take action on.
If they make a mistake, they take responsibility for it and they don’t let it derail them in any way. In fact, it makes them more motivated to do the task correctly.
1. ARIES (March 21 - April 19)
Aries get energized by new experiences and are able to embrace new opportunities. These individuals aren't the kind of people to just stand on the sidelines watching other people take risks and achieve greatness. No, they want to take the initiative and get out there and make things happen.
The more they get out of their comfort zone, the more they upgrade their skillset. New and/or different isn't scary territory to Aries; it's invigorating.
2. SAGITTARIUS (November 22 - December 21)
There's no standing around for Sagittarius. If something needs to be done, they do it. They ask a lot of questions, set goals, and do what they need to stay on track and motivated.
You can always count on Sagittarius to be an active participant and lead when they need to. They're very intelligent and see what things need to be done further down the line. They need new challenges and are okay if they need to create those challenges for themselves.
3. AQUARIUS (January 20 - February 18)
Aquarians knows they're brilliant, but that doesn't stop them from going to experts and those who have something important to share. They take it upon themselves to stay current on what's going on with their own industry, and continue to learn and grow, even if it's not required of them.
They are confident enough to take the initiative in dealing with other people. If there's someone who can be of assistance, Aquarius won't be shy about asking them to be a mentor or a guide. They make opportunities for themselves in places that other people miss.
4. LEO (July 23 - August 22)
If you're going to be a leader, which many Leos are in some way or another, you need to be able to take the initiative. Leos know there are some actions that shouldn't be delayed, so they will task themselves with doing them.
Leos know when they need to speak up and when it's imperative for them to take action. If a Leo makes a mistake, they own it and they learn from it, but errors won't make them reticent about stepping up.
5. SCORPIO (October 23 - November 21)
Scorpios are confident and focused enough to know when to take the initiative and the right move to make. Scorpios know it's a great move to offer to do more at work. They aren't the kind of people to just rest on their previous acts; they continue to do more, do better, and surpass expectations.
If a Scorpio is interested in someone romantically, they'll take the initiative there too. It's not unlike them to make the first move, even when it seems to come out of nowhere, because they'd rather find out there's no chemistry than expend a lot of energy towards someone only to have it fizzle out.
6. CAPRICORN (December 22 - January 19)
Capricorns are team players, but that doesn't mean they won't take initiative. They are able to motivate others by example, and people who are under Capricorn's leadership learn to work for the greater good.
They are going to do everything on their own to-do list, and more. They're excellent group leaders, and if they feel that something is lacking in someone's education or experience, Capricorn will help to fill in those gaps.
