Apparently, Mercury wasn't finished taking care of business before leaving the 4th house behind. So, now to fix what went array in early July, all zodiac signs get a new spin for the sake of good luck-hopefully.
In general, when Mercury is rx things just felt out of sync or nothing seemed to go right.
Your phone keeps malfunctioning, friends keep cancelling on you and you’re left wondering what is going on.
They’ll say, “Oh, Mercury’s in retrograde right now, that’s why this is happening,” or something like that. But for those of you who don’t follow astrology, you might wonder what that means?
First, let’s circle to what you think of when it comes to mercury as a substance. It’s in all sorts of things, such as batteries or lightbulbs.
However, it’s also toxic.
For instance, when those new energy-efficient lightbulbs were introduced, they contained a lot of mercury.
It was so much that if you broke one you had to call poison control. Pretty nasty stuff right?
Now in mythology, Mercury has an interesting history.
In the Roman version, Mercury was considered to be the god of travelers and merchants.
However, in Greek mythology, Mercury’s mother Maia also exists, who is also the mother of Hermes, who was known as a messenger.
Therefore, Mercury and Hermes are often associated with each other or somewhat thought of as the same person.
This is also how Mercury came to be considered a messenger and how its role in astrology began to develop.
In astrology, Mercury is considered the body that governs communication.
When Mercury enters a zodiac’s house, it reacts to each one differently, but it specifically is strong with fiery types (like Aries).
It also tends to make things negative and difficult. But what is retrograde?
It’s actually not as mystical as it sounds. Scientifically speaking, retrograde doesn’t actually exist. What it is, as astronomers have observed, is an illusion.
As Earth moves more quickly than Mercury in orbit during this time, it gives the appearance that rather than our planet moving forward, Mercury looks like it’s spinning backwards.
Typically Mercury will go into retrograde a couple times a year.
So from Aries to Pisces, here’s what it means for horoscope during Mercury retrograde season starting now until July 31st when it stations direct once again.
ARIES (March 21 – April 19)
For you Aries, retrograde is particularly difficult as Mars is your ruling planet.
You’re typically impulsive in all aspects of life, which can be dangerous at a time like this.
Whether it be romance or projects, think carefully before you act. In fact, take this time of retrograde to review things in your life.
Knowing the conditions of what’s going on around you and what you’re a part of is always important.
TAURUS (April 20 – May 20)
You’ve got two things to watch when in retrograde: family matters and financial decisions. When it comes to finances, try to avoid signing any contracts and doing home improvements.
As for family, try to retain your composure. While it may feel like everyone’s on edge, it’s only temporary or even an illusion.
Apply caution to your life in these areas and you’ll get through retrograde unscathed.
GEMINI (May 21 – June 20)
Mercury retrograde truly is in full-effect when it comes to Geminis like you. This time embodies communication and transportation failure for you.
When you speak you seem to always be misunderstood and even typing your words keeps backfiring.
Your car also breaks down, the bus/train is late, or you just can’t ever seem to be on time.

CANCER (June 21 – July 22)
For you Cancers, it’s all about money when in retrograde. You should avoid making any unnecessary purchases or major financial decisions (like buying a house).
