getty Usually, the zodiac signs who claim to be the greatest communicators of them all are the ones who cannot bring themselves to actually talk when the time is right, or they simply say the wrong thing. Blame it on astrology or your horoscope, but having good communication skills is what holds relationships together.
If we don't communicate well, we not only do ourselves a disservice, we jeopardize our connections to others. Direct confrontation scares many people, and that fear is greater than the desire to save a relationship that is in dire need of communication.
We might automatically assume that writers and journalists must be great at getting the point across — and we'd be right — however, professional communicating is way different than personal one on one communication. And one of the reason many of us fail at communication on a personal level is because we fear hurting another with our opinion, or our truth.
And that endangers our stance with that person; if they are hurt, they might reject us — and that's the bottom line. People don't communicate well because they fear rejection, they fear negative response and just the thought of communicating well brings on enough paranoia and neurosis that the failed communicator would rather just leave it all be. Even if leaving it be means watching their love affair end.
I've seen many couples fall apart because they are afraid to talk to each other. Couples who, had they just taken the time and allowed themselves the extra nerve it takes, would still be together today. Alas, bad communication skills once again serve as a force that destroys.
Who are the zodiac signs who are bad at communication?
1. LIBRA (September 23 - October 22)
Libras are famous for broadcasting their feelings and opinions far and wide. They are able to argue and battle, as long as it's a public arena in which this communication is going on. But take that skill into a relationship, and you will spend your entire life waiting for your Libra mate to actually say what's on their mind.
They thoroughly suck at speaking up; in fact, they will wear you down to the point where you won't even care after a while. And THAT truly sucks. Libra, you suck at communication.
2. LEO (July 23 - August 22)
Also great at public speaking, Leo tends to blow hard during personal communication as if they're speaking to a mob, rather than to a loved one. Leo is always on stage, and while they are adept at communicating their feelings, they tend to ONLY communicate THEIR feelings, which makes them quite deaf to yours.
Leo is basically too egomaniacal to accept that you might want more than a theatrical performance from them. You might actually want the truth. Forget it.
3. ARIES (March 21 - April 19)
It's tricky with Aries, because they really ARE the great communicators. The problem is they're insulting, brash, insensitive and sarcastic while they communicate.
Having a heart to heart with an Aries is like knowing ahead of time that you'll not only never get a word in edge-wise, you'll also never experience them actually caring about what it is YOU want to talk about.
4. VIRGO (August 23 - September 22)
When it comes to sucking big time at communication, leave it to Virgo. They don't even intend to bother, and when their personal life is up in the air and possibly in deep trouble, their go-to strategy for communication is about putting the other person down.
That's how Virgo communicates: they insult you, make you feel worthless and give you the general impression that no matter what you do or say, it's garbage. Just like you. Trash.
5. AQUARIUS (January 20 - February 18)
Right up there with the suckmasters of communication are the eternally passive-aggressive Aquarians. Their communication consists of groans, moans, body-shifting, wordless complaints, huffs, puffs and all other sorts of non-verbal blatherings.
They stiffen up when confronted, and you might even believe they're listening to you, "hearing" you — but no, they're only biding their time, waiting for you to finish. Aquarius not only doesn't speak, they don't care either.
6. PISCES (February 19 - March 20)
Way too sensitive to engage in actual conversation, Pisces will let it all fall apart before they lift a finger (or open their mouths to speak) to make sure a bad thing doesn't happen. They are happy in their misery, and mending a bad situation with communication is not in their interest.
And why? Because they can't stand happiness; they thrive well in silent tension, where no two parties speak to each other for fear of finding out some horrid and imagined truth.
