getty I don't know about you, but I've had boyfriends that range from the kind who can't stop kissing me in public, to the shy kind who can hardly hold my hand in front of another without having a conniption. Personally, I'm midrange on this. A little affection to prove you actually want me, but not so much that people start shouting, "Get a room!"
What is PDA? Known as public displays of affection, this is part and parcel of life with couples. Some are into it, while some not. Some show affection easily, while others can't stand to even be touched or brushed against.
Each zodiac sign in astrology expresses affection differently, especially when in public. From hot to cold, from shy to exhibitionistic, it all depends on their true personalities and preferences with showing their love to their partner.
The point of the public display of affection is not really for the sake of the public, but more along the lines of whatever the couple is feeling and how much they care or don't care about the affection shared between them, as seen by the public eye.
ARIES (March 21 - April 19)
Aries demands you hold their hand — everywhere. If you don't, they will call you on it later. They will accuse you of being embarrassed of them, no matter what you say. Do yourself a favor and hold their hand in public.
TAURUS (April 20 - May 20)
Wild is as wild does, and Taurus is wild. They will smooch you, hold you, jump on top of you. In other words, if they dig you, you won't be coming up for air any time too soon.
GEMINI (May 21 - June 20)
Eye contact does the trick for Gemini — that and maybe a little kiss on the cheek, here or there, when in public. They don't need it, but man, oh man, do they like it. Kiss your Gemini on the cheek and you'll have made someone very happy.
CANCER (June 21 - July 22)
Not really the PDA type, they want their affection at home in bed. Right to the point with Cancer, they don't give a damn about what the public thinks, but they also have no special performance in them that they feel they owe anyone on that account.
LEO (July 23 - August 22)
Smiles, smile, smiles... and a little warm public embracing will do the trick just fine. Leo wants happiness; they want you to smile, and they love to smile and laugh. Leo's PDA looks like them smiling at you, while touching your hands.
VIRGO (August 23 - September 22)
More materialistic about things, Virgo enjoys to show off, but PDA isn't about being physical with their lover. It's about wearing the gifts they've given them. Virgo is big on rings and bracelets and showy forms of gifted love. That's PDA, and you better get to know that now!
LIBRA (September 23 - October 22)
Libra isn't all that into PDA because they're not really into having others see them as locked into a relationship. It's pretty depressing being with a Libra if you actually want to be loved or shown love in public. They refuse, and it's probably because they don't really like anyone.
SCORPIO (October 23 - November 21)
If you like to be walked around on a dog leash, then you'll love your Scorpio PDA. And while I'm only just "kinda" kidding with this, they really are into the kind of PDA that shows you as their object. Sure, they respect you, but if you're with them, well... you've got your reasons.
SAGITTARIUS (November 22 - December 21)
If only this sign could relax enough to be affectionate in public. In private, they're pure love and attention, but something happens to them when they're outside. They get shy. They get paranoid. They get cold feet. Best to take your Sag mate inside for the real deal.
CAPRICORN (December 22 - January 19)
Capricorn is doing you a favor by being affectionate to you in public. They feel "you" need it more than they do, and if it were left up to them, they'd ban PDA altogether. They know it means something to you, so they humor you with a little "mercy PDA."
AQUARIUS (January 20 - February 18)
In their minds, they are great lovers. In bed, they are great lovers. In public situations, they are imbeciles that can't get their crap together no matter what. They'd like to display affection, but they realize they're just too awkward to do so.
PISCES (February 19 - March 10)
Incredibly affectionate, Pisces won't take their hands off you. Then come the kisses, the smooches, the swipes of the hair, the buttoning of the coat, the straightening of the tie. Basically, Pisces is a mother and expresses love and affection as only a mom could. Embarrassing!
