getty There are people who have good intentions, but when they help, they end up doing more damage than good. Is it that they’re completely inept, or they just don't think things through before attempting them?
There are the people who get defensive and say, “I was just trying to help.” But unfortunately, there can be the wrong way to help. And in astrology, the zodiac signs with good intentions sometimes end up making the situation worse.
Some people tend to be inept when it comes to helping others and themselves. It’s not that they’re failures or completely without skills; it’s just that they don’t have good instincts when it comes to the needs of other people. They can get fixated on what they think other people need, and can be completely off base.
An example of someone like this would be the person who becomes convinced that you’ve been obsessed with your ex for too long and you need a distraction. So, they get you a cat, but you’re not allowed pets in your apartment and you're allergic to cats.
The person thinks that once they’ve dropped off the cat at your house their duty is done, so it’s up to you to find a suitable and loving home for the cat while your eyes water, your nose runs, and you can’t stop sneezing. And what does your friend say when you tell them what a huge hassle their good intention turned out to be? “I was only trying to help!”
1. CAPRICORN (December 22 - January 19)
Capricorns really want to help, and they believe their way is always the right way. The problem is that everyone is different and the kind of help that Capricorn wants to give isn't the kind of help that every person needs.
Sometimes Capricorn will give someone help when they didn't ask for it or believe they need it. This can be awkward as the person doesn't want to piss Capricorn off, but their involvement is only going to make things more complicated. They could stand to be a little more sensitive and see if someone wants their help rather than assuming they do and ignoring their needs.
2. SAGITTARIUS (November 22 - December 21)
Sagittarians can be helpful but it's always on their timetable. A Sagittarius will help in the way they think is needed, and then will determine when the problem is solved and walk away when they believe their help is no longer needed.
However, they can be mistaken, and things are in worse shape than when Sagittarius got involved. But once they are done and want to move on, they're going to do it. Sagittarius' intentions are good but their follow-through needs work.
3. CANCER (June 21 - July 22)
Cancers mean well, they really do, but sometimes they're so desperate to help that they just say whatever comes into their head, without considering whether it's actually helpful or not. Cancers can turn the situation around and make it about them.
It's not that they're completely self-centered, it's just that can have a need to express exactly what they're feeling or thinking, even if it's not helpful or appropriate.
4. PISCES (February 19 - March 20)
Pisces are very helpful and selfless, but they can sometimes give the wrong kind of help. When you really need an infusion of cash, having a spa day paid for by Pisces isn't going to allow you to hang onto your house, though it may help make you feel more relaxed.
Pisces aren't always the most practical of people, and this is why their help or advice can be way off the mark. They may send the wrong message to others or give off the wrong impression, but they mean well.
5. ARIES (March 21 - April 19)
Aries can be helpful, but the problem is that they are impatient, don't always listen very carefully, and can end up doing more harm than good. If they would just slow down and hear what someone is asking before acting, that would be great.
Aries can jump to conclusions and make decisions before consulting the person who needs the help. They also tend to be a bit insensitive and arrogant, believing they know best when they don't.
