It's nearly impossible for me to write an astrology-based article on the topic of overactive imagination without immediately thinking of our archer friend, Sagittarius. Oh sure, everyone has an imagination and some much more intense than others, but our buddy Sag is definitely the winner of this contest.

But an overactive imagination might be the key ingredient in what makes a person different, weird, "not normal," and creative as all hell. Because for the zodiac signs with an overactive imagination, imagination is what makes the world interesting. We can't all take things at face value; we need to embellish in order to make life more interesting for us.

Of course, having an overactive imagination works both ways; one can overthink a situation to the point of madness, projecting assumed images of everything ranging from totally positive to utterly negative. When we use our overactive imaginations, we do so to gain control of an otherwise unpredictable and uncontrollable situation.

Open-ended "life" doesn't make sense to us — we need completion, endings, predictability and routine. And when we are presented with concepts that are without an ending or plot line, we fill in the blanks with whatever our minds give us. 1. VIRGO (August 23 - September 22)

The ruminator of the zodiac, Virgo uses their highly overactive imagination to basically cripple themselves with fear. If it isn't clear, then Virgo must put together the imaginary situation where it all becomes clear; they cannot stand not knowing where a situation is going.

To combat this fear, they create false situations in their mind because anything is better than not knowing for a Virgo. When they don't know, they create imaginary results, all of which are hysterical and negative.

2. LEO (July 23 - August 22)

Visions of grandeur await all the Leos of the world when given a little free time to daydream. Dreams, visions and overly active imagined scenarios rule the daily life of a Leo, and all of those daydreams revolve around being famous, superior, better than others, wealthy and well-loved by the masses.

Leo take "overactive" to new levels by consistently envisioning themselves in glorious circumstances, winning all the gold there is to win.

3. AQUARIUS (January 20 - February 18)

This sign basically lives in their head, so all things take place in the imagination section of their minds. They are not big do-ers in reality, but when they tuck in to the recesses of their own minds, wow, can they go places.

Their overactive imaginations are what save their lives. They are the Walter Mittys of the zodiac — while life might be dull and mundane, life inside the Aquarius mind is exciting, fulfilling and... endless.

4. SCORPIO (October 23 - November 21)

This group has not only a vivid imagination, they are fully equipped with the ability to realize their dreams. Scorpio doesn't bother considering that their overactive imaginations are stuck in the mind; they see possibility in everything they think of, and they are very pro-active when it comes to making those dreams into reality.

So, for this sign, an overactive imagination is really only a spawning ground for great things to come.

5. TAURUS (April 20 - May 20)

This sign takes overthinking to a new level, and while much of that thought is creative, it is often creatively destructive. And what I mean by this is that Taurus is visual: they imagine their own demise in living color, 24/7.

Having an overactive imagination works against Taurus as they tend to sway towards the negative, which ends up in anxiety and depression.

6. SAGITTARIUS (November 22 - December 21)

Nobody overthinks like Sagittarius. They think, then they think some more, and when those thoughts are done, they question them, which brings on an entirely new existential crises of over-analyzing and overthinking.
