Some are team players.

I once had a really awful job. The pay was garbage and the job itself was a waste of my life and most certainly not something I wanted to be involved in other than to do my best and skedaddle, while looking forward to a paycheck. I remember the boss asked me to work a day that I had specifically asked to have off, and when I told her that I couldn't work on that day and that I requested it off in advance, she told me that I wasn't a team player.
This made me think: Was being a "team player" something I had to be, or was it something that I had to feel? Because, to me, being a "team player" meant I would do my best for the "team" because I was dedicated and committed to the mission of whatever the team was doing.
So, commitment had to be as a result of passion, and passion for this particular job was not something I had. I was not committed to making money for someone else. I was not committed to doing something I didn't want to do just to prove that I was a team player.
It's much like a committed relationship. And in astrology, how the zodiac signs commit in their relationships or goals is something they take seriously. Because commitment is a very real thing, whether it's about commitment to a relationship, an idea, a goal or one's self.
Committing one's self to anything requires belief, dedication and honesty. Can I commit to this, and can I come through on my promise? Commitments are like promises, and similar to promises, many people find them nearly impossible to uphold.
ARIES (March 21 - April 19)
They are keen on proving their commitment because they know how intense a thing a commitment is, so they let you know how dedicated they are by reiterating their commitment in words.
TAURUS (April 20 - May 20)
While Taurus tends to fall into bouts of self-doubt, when they do commit, they prove it by doing the right thing instead of the old reliable wrong thing. Taurus proves commitment by acting, not talking.
GEMINI (May 21 - June 20)
It's extremely hard for Gemini to commit to almost anything, simply because they can't make up their minds. Gemini's commitment is a frustrating display of indecisions that will make you give up wanting a commitment from them.
CANCER (June 21 - July 22)
Naturally dedicated, Cancer finds it very easy to commit to a person, idea or goal, and they prove it with reliability and honesty. When they commit, you can trust they will remain committed.
LEO (July 23 - August 22)
Through study and perfection, Leo attains a new level of commitment to their craft. They are most dedicated to the arts, and less committed to the keeping up of relationships. They prove their commitment in great performances.
VIRGO (August 23 - September 22)
Virgo will commit firmly to anything they believe in, and they will not waver. However, that commitment doesn't come lightly, so they use their hyper-analytical skill set to figure out whether it's worth it or not. But if it's worth it, you'll see their commitment show up as loyalty and dedication.
LIBRA (September 23 - October 22)
Unfortunately, well-intended Libra doesn't commit very well to anything. Not relationships or projects. They like the idea of being dedicated to a goal, but they tend to make way too many promises that they never, ever keep. No commitment here.
SCORPIO (October 23 - November 21)
This sign is dedicated and committed to being the best at whatever they do, and they prove it by showing up looking good, by being on time, and by getting the job done, no matter what it takes. They are seriously committed people!
SAGITTARIUS (November 22 - December 21)
If one could be considered committed when they are committed to themselves, then one could describe the nature of a Sagittarius. They love themselves and are committed to doing what they want, at all costs. They prove it by being themselves.
CAPRICORN (December 22 - January 19)
Being that this group is the very heart and soul of integrity, you'll find Capricorn proving their commitment in the form of being really good at their job. They take it all very seriously, and in terms of performance, none take it as seriously as Capricorn. They're on it!
AQUARIUS (January 20 - February 18)
Aquarius is committed to nothing. They enjoy the idea of romance, love and even marriage, but the truth is that they are not really interested in commitment because they see this as prison, rather than union.
PISCES (February 19 - March 10)
They are extremely committed to the home, the preservation of the family, and of their own interests. Pisces will show commitment in the form of making food for loved ones, and making sure everyone they know is happy. It's quite an undertaking, but Pisces is always up for the challenge.
