They're always feeling let down.

We all come with a certain set standard of expectation. Some of us expect the highest, some the lowest, and some of us just back off expectation altogether to avoid disappointment. It's best to keep an even keel when it comes to expectation.
I have raised the bar so high in the past that all I could get was disappointment for my expectations. And for the disappointed zodiac signs, their horoscopes can't hold a candle to their expectations. Luckily, astrology can provide us with insight as to why we set ourselves up for this.
I remember hearing Deepak Chopra talk about "expect the highest." Well, that certainly does sound ideal, but here's the thing: "Ideal" doesn't happen in a real world, so expecting the highest is like a set up for receiving daily doses of intense disappointment.
In other words, one's manifestation skills better be on point or one would be living in a nonstop world of settling for less than the highest. So why bother expecting the highest when one can't achieve the highest every time? Sounds a little "too ideal" for me, or for anyone.
Our zodiac signs give us built in standards — our signs let us know what we crave, desire, wish for and expect, and when those needs aren't met, disappointment sets in big time. Each sign comes with different standards and, hence, we have certain major disappointment triggers with each one. These are the things that disappoint each zodiac sign.
ARIES (March 21 - April 19)
Not getting attention. Truth is, we all want attention, but when Aries doesn't get their portion, they become incensed and irate. An Aries, gone unattended to, is an unhappy camper.
TAURUS (April 20 - May 20)
Sexual inadequacy. Taurus really loves being in the bedroom, and they have super high expectations for what happens in bed. A seriously crappy lover, to a Taurus, is like a curse: the lowest disappointment.
GEMINI (May 21 - June 20)
Not getting a deal. Gemini is up there with the best bargain hunters around. They love getting a deal, paying less, and walking away feeling like they got something for free. When this doesn't happen, they plummet into the depths of disappointment.
CANCER (June 21 - July 22)
Not having a home base. Cancer loves to travel and explore, but they need to feel secure, so if they can't find themselves at home in their place of travel, they kind of freak out. Any situation where they are not welcome becomes a true point of contention for Cancer; they want to feel at home wherever they go.
LEO (July 23 - August 22)
Not being thought of as the leader in all situations. Leo really is the show off, but they also need to be number one, and if they find themselves around folks who don't look to them as the authority, then they are majorly disappointed.
VIRGO (August 23 - September 22)
Virgo spends all their time reveling in the disappointment that comes from all the expectation they had of you. Disappointment is the life blood of Virgo, and in an odd way, they feel at home knowing that everyone around them is garbage.
LIBRA (September 23 - October 22)
Having their privacy invaded. Hyper-private, Libra expects to remain that way... until someone invades their space and mucks it up with something that isn't Libra. Libra is most disappointed by other people who expect things from Libra that Libra is not willing to give.
SCORPIO (October 23 - November 21)
Not having things go their way. While that sounds like anybody's typical disappointment, Scorpio banks on the idea that things NEED to go their way, and so when things don't go according to the Scorpio plan, these folks get angry and lose themselves in emotional fire.
SAGITTARIUS (November 22 - December 21)
Betrayal. Ooof, nothing pisses a Sagittarius off more than being betrayed. They set their friendship and relationship standards so high and expect others to fall in line with that expectation, and when they are lied to or betrayed, they lose their minds over it. Betrayal is the number one disappointing factor with Sagittarius.
CAPRICORN (December 22 - January 19)
Watching others fail. It's not as altruistic as it sounds; Capricorn spends a lot of time shaking their head over the action of others they expect more from. Disappoint a Capricorn and watch them explain to you what you did wrong. They are fond of pointing out your stupidity.
AQUARIUS (January 20 - February 18)
Having to commit. Aquarians love to dream big, but they rarely want to actually commit to anything that might make that dream come true. They are highly disappointed at the idea of working with other people, and remain true to themselves at all costs.
They expect to work autonomously and when they have to consider others, they fall into great disappointment, hating their lives for even trying.
PISCES (February 19 - March 20)
Not being respected. Pisces is under the impression that everything they do should be revered as golden. They really have it in their minds that they are wonderful and beyond reproach.
So, when someone doesn't think they are the cat's meow that they think they are, they nosedive into disappointment, ego's a-bruised to the thousandth power.
