Who Is Bill Fawell? Details GOP Candidate Believes Beyonce Illuminati And 9/11 Conspiracy Theories
Buzz

He believes Beyonce is in the Illuminati and 9/11 was an inside job.

Just when you think politics can't get any crazier, meet Bill Fawell.

The real estate broker is running for a position in the United States House of Representatives against Democratic incumbent Cheri Bustos in Illinois' 17th District.  He was able to get a spot on the ballot after an uncontested primary — despite being a known conspiracy theorist and believer in Illuminati and that 9/11 was an inside job.

Although Bustos won the district by 20 points in 2016, for the presidential race that year, the district voted narrowly for Donald Trump.

Fawell, a self-described Libertarian and Trump supporter, is now running on the Republican ticket for the 2018 midterm election.

In blog postings, as well as his 2012 book New American Revolution, Fawell goes into further explanation of the conspiracy theories he adheres to.

One of those theories is that music superstar Beyonce and her husband Jay-Z have ties to the Illuminati.

The Illuminati was a secret society that was established during the late 1700s, but today, conspiracy theorists like Bill Fawell believe that it still exists and prominent politicians and celebrities are still involved. And here we thought the Carters were just mega-talented artists.

While many of us have heard of the infamous Illuminati, whether it be from the deep corners of the internet or major Hollywood films like Angels and Demons, their purpose seems to be dependent upon who you ask. For Fawell, his version of the Illuminati is that of a satanic cult.

In addition to Beyonce and Jay-Z, Fawell also believes artists Taylor Swift and Madonna have ties to the secret society as well, even referring to Madonna as a "narcissist sk--k with the crooked teeth."

Fawell's theories aren't just limited to the Illuminati though.

Another rumor he pushes is that the September 11, 2001 attacks were actually part of an inside job. He believes the 7 World Trade Center tower was purposefully destroyed in order to get rid of CIA documents.

Both racist and sexist remarks regarding prominent political figures are also a recurring theme with the GOP candidate. He's referred to former Secretary of State Colin Powell as "Uncle Tom," former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton as a "b--ch" and "witch," and perpetuated President Barack Obama birther claims by calling him "Barry Soetoro."

The name Soetoro is the last name of President Obama's stepfather and was frequently used as a justification that he wasn't born in the United States.

Fawell and Bustos will face off for the Illinois 17th District seat on Election Day Tuesday, November 6, 2018.
