Ah yes... "sociopath." What a word. We've all heard of sociopathic behavior, and we are all pretty much well versed on the famous sociopaths of our time — in both fiction and reality. But what about astrology? Can we spot the sociopath zodiac signs just based on their horoscope? Not quite.
What is a sociopath and how would we recognize someone who could be labeled as such? The definition of sociopath is: a person with a personality disorder manifesting itself in extreme antisocial attitudes and behavior and a lack of conscience.
The kicker phase here is "extreme antisocial." That doesn't mean they don't like to hang out. That means they do extremely "antisocial" things, like... kill people. That kind of "antisocial."
And while one doesn't have to kill someone to be a sociopath, they will exhibit behavior that is less than acceptable to most others. A lack of empathy is a good sign you're dealing with a sociopath; if you know someone, for instance, who appears to be totally lacking in compassion towards others, that's a sociopath.
Someone who might hurt an animal, or turn their head away when some creature on earth is in pain... sociopath. And we can only hope that for every animal-hurting sociopath there is, that there are seven vigilantes out there to hurt them back tenfold.
So, the question begs: Are there any particular sociopath zodiac signs? And if so, which signs are the most sociopathic? Here are the top 6.
1. LEO (July 23 - August 22)
Well equipped with the ego needed in order to be a full blown sociopath, Leo is perhaps the best candidate on the planet for secretly doing evil deeds. Leo is confident and perhaps even hubristic about what they do, so they never question if they're right or wrong.
These are also the killers who get caught most due to the fact that Leo feels they are a little better than most and could never be caught red handed. They get caught. Red handed. So, I guess you could say Leo is a stupid sociopath.
2. SAGITTARIUS (November 22 - December 21)
It's the fire signs, I'm tellin' ya. The fire that ignites Sag is the fire that makes them crazy on a daily basis. And while they have that "freedom loving, free-spirit" thing going on, they are also quite capable of letting that inner fire of theirs turn into an outright psycho fest, as Sagittarians sometimes cannot tell the difference between right and wrong.
Big time sociopathic behavior. Killers? No. But nut jobs? Oh yes.
3. ARIES (March 21 - April 19)
Arrogant and sociopathic in one fell swoop — oh my goodness, Aries takes the cake when it comes to be actively crazy and horribly destructive. Aries takes no responsibility for the things they do or say, so it's all a neutral playing field for them.
If they hurt your feelings, it's YOUR fault, not theirs, and this imbalanced state is where all their decisions come from. They move through the world as if they are responsible for nothing and it's all your fault.
4. TAURUS (April 20 - May 20)
Taurus is probably one of the most extreme zodiac signs in so many ways, and they really do excel at being successful sociopaths too — oh boy!
The thing with Taurus is that they are very able to separate themselves from reality in order to survive. So, in doing so, they teach themselves survival skills which often turn into a sense of "they know nothing, I shall teach them the way!" and, of course, "teaching them the way" consists of hurting or killing the one who offended them.
5. SCORPIO (October 23 - November 21)
Natural predators, Scorpio finds a good home in sociopathic circles. And while we are all aware of Scorpio's taste for blood and sadism, these things don't fall into sociopathic behavior. What does fall in are the secretive ways Scorpio goes about hunting and "subduing" their prey.
Scorpio, the sadist, is only sociopathic when they perform their pain-giving feats as they walk away, barely feeling anything at all for their victim. The sociopathic Scorpio enjoys no sadistic enjoyment, only a dull sense of accomplishment.
6. LIBRA (September 23 - October 22)
Funny thing about those Libran scales is that, for the most part, they're completely unbalanced. Libra has such a reputation for being kind, sweet and even keeled that even the kindest, sweetest and most even keeled Libra has to flinch at the thought of being that perfect. And in some sort of unconscious rebellion, they go all out sociopath — to balance the scales, so to speak.
Libra is equally as hurtful and selfish as they are kind and compassionate, and when driven to extremes, Libra will destroy the most beautiful things "because they were there."
