One Of The Viral Florida 'Hot Cops' Is No Longer Attractive After The Internet Dug Up His Repulsive Anti-Semitic Facebook Posts

Pro tip for all men: racism is ugly.

Remember these guys? The beautiful faces of the Gainesville Police Department graced the world's Facebook feeds and offered a glimmer of hope in the midst of Hurricane Irma and Hurricane Harvey. That hope being that if you're stranded on your roof maybe at least a hot cop will save you.

But one of those cops isn't so hot anymore. Michael Hamill, the 28-year-old cop in the middle of the photo, is currently under investigation after the people of the internet dug up some horrific anti-Semitic posts he wrote before his viral fame.

In 2011, he wrote, "so i find it funny that people will talk about how our government needs to do something about our economy and in reality its YOU who needs to stop taking advantage of our system and get a life and so something with your life.”

And here's the kicker:

“Gotta love reality when it hits you in the face. “Stupid people annoy me. put them in an oven and deal with them the hitler way. haha”

Obviously, his Facebook page has either been deleted or suspended, so thank god for screenshots.

And sadly it's not the only one.

In 2013, he wrote, “reading jewish jokes before i go to bed would not only make me feel better about myself but also help me to sleep better as well.”

"here is one for everybody. 'What's the difference between boy scouts and Jews?' anybody know? well it is because 'Boy scouts come back from their camp.'"

Though it hasn't been confirmed that the Facebook page belonged to the same Michael Hamill, The Gainesville Sun reported that someone commented on that last post and called it "messed up." Hamill's response? "u don't like it? don't read it then."

Yeah, that's who's supposedly keeping the streets of Gainesville safe.

A spokesperson for the department said they're reviewing several complaints made against Hamill, but said it was confidential until the investigation is finished.

Hamill was sworn in as an officer in October 2016.

“Several citizens have brought information to our attention regarding a complaint against Officer Hamill,” the department said. “GPD is reviewing the allegation and will do so in accordance to Florida law and department policy. Under Florida Law, complaint information is confidential until an investigation is concluded, and we will not be offering any further statement until that time. The Gainesville Police Department prides itself with our philosophy and mission of compassion, inclusion, and respect and will fully review the matter.”

It's probably not too crazy to speculate that Hamill didn't think anyone would find those posts after their "hot cop selfie" gained over 181,000 comments, 517,000 likes and 276,000 shares.

And that calendar they were gonna make to raise money for Hurricane Irma victims? Probably a good idea to hold off.
