Summer is FAST approaching (if you can’t already tell by the change in temperature) and it’s time to get excited about all the plans you made back when it was still freezing and snowing.
One of my favorite parts about summer is being able to spend some serious quality time with my best friends.
My least favorite part is sweating through an entire pair of shorts before noon, but that side note is not important right now.
Whether my friends and I stay at home and drink around the bonfire, take a day trip down to the beach, or spend the weekend in the mountains, summertime is the time of year when you can totally relax and have fun.
Of course, if you work, it doesn’t always feel like a vacation from your busy life, but the weekends and evenings are still fair game for ultimate relaxation with your squad.
Nothing says summer quite like spending it with your favorite people, which is why I always get hyped when I know it’s time to start breaking out the flip flops and bathing suits.
Yes, I burn like a lobster, and yes, my friends make fun of me for it all summer, but it definitely beats cold weather and being stuck indoors.
When my squad and I get ready for a summer of fun, we love getting each other pumped in the days leading up to our trip or weekend-long party.
This usually consists of shopping for cute outfits, booze, and lots of sunscreen (for me, at least), as well as basically blowing up each other’s phones with “are you ready?!” texts until it’s time to party.
And the best part about having a jam-packed summer with all of your friends?
