Millennial Women Are The Biggest Consumer Of Pizza

Who doesn't love pizza? Seriously, how can you not love the crispy dough, the blend of cheese and sauce, and not to mention all the toppings. And now, there are so many daring choices for pizza. Stuffed crust, pretzel crust, even pizza with fruit... Basically, you can make pizza-anything and it just keeps getting better with every new idea.

Pizza is that amazing. Anyone who says they don't love pizza either has never had a slice or is lying through their teeth.

And we are proud to announce that Millennial women are offically the biggest pizza eaters in America.

CNBC reported that 350 pizza slices are consumed every second, and that shares of the U.S. pizza market are expected to $15 billion for the year of 2016. "Today there are about 70,000 pizzerias operating in the United States, with another 4,800 set to open by year-end," says the report.

In the 80 million Millennial pizza consumers, 60 percent of these are made of women, says a report by PMQ Pizza Magazine (yes, there is a magazine that's all about pizza! What a time to be alive).

So, this leads us to the question: Why millennial women?

Hello Giggles has a few answers for us. One of these is that pizza is cheap (which is not a bad thing at all). Depending on where you get it, some pizza may be a bit pricier than the rest, because it's made from some fancy restaurant.

However, CNBC says that a good portion of the pizza market share goes to franchises such as Pizza Hut, Domino's, Little Caesar's, and Papa John's. According to the Pizza Industry Analysis, all 4 places had pulled in $23.5 billion in 2015 alone.

Plus, pizza contains every possible member of the food group — cheese for your dairy needs, grains, meats, and even vegetables. There are so many different types of pizza to choose from. You can even build your own now and order pizza straight from an ATM.

For once, all is right with the world.
