Gwyneth Paltrow And Chris Martin Have Consciously Re-Coupled!

Celeb couples reconcile all the time. Just ask these fickle paramours!

Earlier this year Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin announced their separation, but have since been spotted together looking happier than ever before. Rumors of reconciliation are flying, but have yet to be confirmed. Maybe they are just focusing on their children while they remain friends, but regardless all eyes are on their summer romance in the Hamptons.

Of course, this kind of thing happens all the time. Couples break up and getting back together have become quite the trend everywhere, especially within celebrity romances. Here are seven couples who pulled a Ross and Rachel “we were on a break” status over the years.

Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton
Elizabeth Taylor AKA the queen of serial marriage, hooked up with Richard Burton while they were both still in relationships with other people. They finally got married in 1964 and lasted ten years before they divorced. Sixteen months after the first divorce, the couple remarried in secret and stayed together two more years before ending it for good. Then she had four more husbands. Clearly Taylor did not agree with the whole “marriage is sacred” idea.

Pink and Carey Hart
In Pink and professional motocross racer, Carey Hart tied the knot, but two short years later they separated. Fast forward two more years and some marriage counseling, and the pair decided to reconcile and have been together ever since. In 2011 they welcomed their first child together, daughter Willow Sage Hart.

Melanie Griffith and Don Johnson
Beginning their affair when Griffith was only , Melanie and Don began dating in 1971. (Ew — he was 22 at the time. #Creepin!) Their six month marriage ended in 1976, and they spent 12 years apart. They reconciled in 1988 and stayed together for seven more years before splitting again. In 1994 they got back together yet again, but ended for good after only a few months. It’s safe to say these two would be the most annoying friends in the world.

Billy Ray and Tish Cyrus
It was rough for Billy Ray for a while there since rumors were flying around that his wife had gotten pretty cozy with rocker Bret Michaels How could you not? All of that eyeliner is simply irresistible. Billy Ray filed for divorce in 2010, but by early 2011 he had stopped the divorce papers and decided to stay together.

Emilie de Ravin and Joshua Janowicz
Okay, these two are actually the worst Lost star Emilie de Ravin and her husband filed for divorce today, but it's not the first time. In 2007, just six months into their marriage, Emilie filed for divorce. The paperwork was untouched for two years until Joshua was finally served the divorce papers in 2009. They formally announced the divorce but alas, five years later they are still married. Supposedly this is the end though. We have a little trouble believing that.

Rhea Perlman and Danny DeVito
It was a sad day in when Rhea and Danny announced they were splitting up after 30 years of marriage. Less than a year after the announcement they decided to give the relationship another shot. Through the five months they spent apart, they were secretly working on the marriage. Honestly though, these two were made for each other.

Prince William and Kate Middleton
Although they seem like the picture perfect couple now with their adorable little prince, they weren’t always on the same page The couple got together in 2001 when they met at University of St. Andrews and broke up in 2007. However, as we know, they reconciled and are now happily married (from what we know).
