How Do Miley Cyrus' Parents Feel About Her Engagement?

Both Miley and Liam's parents are reportedly thrilled for the newly engaged couple.

While most parents might balk at the idea of their 19-year-old daughter getting engaged, Miley Cyrus isn't one of them. According to reports, her parents are thrilled that their daughter is going to tie the knot with boyfriend of three years, actor (and hottie) Liam Hemsworth.

"Billy Ray loves Liam. He's happy his daughter has found the right guy," says a source, according to People. "The whole family loves Liam."

And how could they not? The Australian Hunger Games star clearly adores Miley, whom he met on the set of their movie, The Last Song. His ring of choice for his future wife? A 3.5-carat Neil Lane stunner, of course.

Miley's family aren't the only ones excited about the engagement, either. Liam's family approves of these nuptials, too. "They spend Christmas and other holidays together. They've been down to Australia," says a source.

What about concerns that Miley is just too young at 19 to be thinking about marriage?

"She's pretty independent already," says a source. "They're just so happy she's found someone who makes her so happy."

Miley's father, Billy Ray Cyrus, even took to Twitter to say: "All I ever hoped for as a Daddy was to see my kids reach their dreams. To find happiness ... peace of mind ... and someday know ... true love."

Looks like his little girl has found true love—now we just wonder if they'll have a long engagement or a short one. According to the Belfast Telegraph, Billy Ray is hoping for a long one. "Billy Ray and Tish love (Liam) like a son," a source tells the paper. "However, Billy Ray is concerned about how young they are and he hopes that they aren't in a rush to get married ... Billy Ray hopes the engagement will be very long, but he isn't opposed to the marriage at all."

Another question everyone's wondering about: how big of a wedding are these two going to throw?
