getty Cheating is one of the most damaging things that someone can do in a relationship. While some relationships are able to recover from it, others never do. But why do people cheat?
Well, if you’re somebody who reads their horoscope or has an interest in astrology, it might be beneficial to know why the zodiac signs cheat. Having insight into this kind of behavior and learning the motivation for why someone would willingly choose to betray a loved one is invaluable.
Hopefully, your partner will never cheat, but wouldn't you like to know what could make them cheat or the reasons behind their behavior so you could either prevent it from happening or get to a place of healing?
There are less than noble reasons for cheating such as someone being a narcissist and really not caring how their cheating affects their partner, or they cheat as payback for being cheated on.Sometimes cheaters just don’t feel that society’s rules apply to them and they want to have more sex with more people, or they’re not brave enough to suggest having an open relationship with their partner.
There’s a difference between someone who cheats once and a serial cheater. There’s help for the person who strayed once, but if you’re involved with someone who cheats repeatedly, the best thing you can do is leave them and find someone who’ll be faithful to you.
ARIES (March 21 - April 19)
Contentment, satisfaction, and routine can feel terrifying for Aries. They never want to lose their edge — they like being impulsive and keeping things fresh. An Aries may cheat as a way to shake things up in their relationship.
It's not that they're not happy or they don't care about their partner, they just enjoy the illicit thrill of cheating. When Aries cheats, they're not bored, and that's worth a lot to them.
TAURUS (April 20 - May 20)
If a Taurus has been cheated on, they will cheat to settle the score. They get extremely jealous, possessive, and if they believe their partner was unfaithful, then it's only fair that Taurus would cheat.
Their cheating is equal parts cheating and a behavior trade-off. It takes a lot for Taurus to trust someone and they're always waiting to be disappointed, so they may cheat just because they assume their partner will.
GEMINI (May 21 - June 20)
It's not that Geminis don't do commitment, it's just that the concept doesn't always sit well with them. When they cheat, it's usually out of fear. They fear that they'll stop growing as a person, that they'll get bored, or that they missed out on finding their perfect person and now they never will.
Geminis may also cheat because deep inside they're scared that if they're faithful, they'll end up heartbroken and alone.
CANCER (June 21 - July 22)
If a Cancer cheats on their partner it's probably because they feel disconnected from them and as if their partner doesn't care about them. Cancers cheat to connect with someone in hopes of finding a deeper connection.
They may cheat as a purely emotional reaction because they feel hurt, angry, or confused. It may not be the best way to gain clarity, but Cancers believe it can help.
LEO (July 23 - August 22)
Leos want to be the star, especially in their relationship, and if they aren't getting the attention they need, they will go somewhere else for it. Sometimes Leos cheat because they're freaked out about aging or another aspect of their appearance.
This may seem shallow, but Leos put a lot of stock into looking good. Cheating makes them feel like they've still got it.
VIRGO (August 23 - September 22)
Virgo will cheat when both they and their partner get so busy that they rarely see each other. Where there's a lack of togetherness in a relationship, that's when infidelity can take root and grow.
Virgos tend to overthink things, so if their partner is never there, their mind can make up all kinds of things like they're cheating or that they've lost interest in the relationship. The Virgo individual will feel very sorry if after they've cheated they discover that their partner was just busy, not unfaithful.
LIBRA (September 23 - October 22)
A Libra may get involved in a serious relationship before they've given it enough thought so that instead of growing closer with their partner, they get restless. The Libra individual doesn't want to hurt their partner, so they keep their feelings to themselves and act out in other ways, like cheating.
Libra will pretend to themselves that no one will get hurt if they cheat. They'll have some fun and their partner will never have to know that they're not entirely satisfied in the relationship.
SCORPIO (October 23 - November 21)
It's difficult to find a sign as passionate as Scorpio. Not only do they feel things intensely, they like their partners to have the same capacity for passion that they do.
If Scorpio feels as if something is missing from their relationships like sexual chemistry, insatiable lust, and a sexually adventurous spirit, they will seek it elsewhere. Scorpios are naturally secretive, but they don't enjoy dishonesty, so they will try to be discreet without actually lying.
SAGITTARIUS (November 22 - December 21)
Sagittarius is another sign that isn't a huge fan of commitment. They prefer loose and easy relationships where it's okay for both parties to express their sexuality in any way they choose. However, not every Sagittarian partner is into having an open relationship.
If a Sagittarius individual is feeling tied down or stifled, they may cheat and will justify by it by explaining that they were only on a journey of self-discovery and trying to reconnect with parts of themselves they lost. This could be true, but it's also true that they were just cheating for the adventure of cheating.
CAPRICORN (December 22 - January 19)
Capricorns aren't natural cheaters and they will definitely feel bad if they're caught. But if a Capricorn is feeling trapped in their relationship (they own a business together or have kids) and feel there's no way out, they may cheat.
It may feel to them that cheating is just a way take a break from all their responsibilities and feel free for a little while. Sometimes being a mature adult can feel like a drag, so Capricorn will do something to shake things up.
AQUARIUS (January 20 - February 18)
Aquarius individuals can't stand feeling smothered or as if they have no room to breathe. Aquarius will cheat if they feel they need some space and freedom.
An Aquarius cheats when they're away on a trip by themselves and they meet somebody. They may do things with a stranger that they wouldn't do with their regular partner, so cheating gives them permission to get as kinky as they like.
PISCES (February 19 - March 20)
Most Pisces don't make up their minds and set out to cheat. For many of them, cheating really was unexpected, an accident almost. If a Pisces has had too much to drink or consumed too many edible brownies, they will be susceptible to being seduced, even if they clearly love their partner.
Some Pisces can be easily led and naive and may not even understand that someone is trying to seduce them until it's too late. They will also cheat if they're able to put it in a romantic context — it's true love, they were meant to be, and it was magical.
