Even days after the 2022 Met Gala, fans are still trying to wrap their heads around how Kim Kardashian pulled off wearing Marilyn Monroe's skin-tight dress to the event.
It has been established that Kardashian only wore the original Marilyn Monroe dress for a couple of minutes on the Red Carpet and wore a replica for the rest of the night.
However, fans are claiming that even the original dress didn’t fit Kardashian as the back of her dress wasn't visible at any point during the Red Carpet.
Kim Kardashian’s fans spotted several clues that she wasn’t able to fit into the Marilyn Monroe's dress.
Kardashian has revealed that she went through a strict diet and lost 16 pounds in three weeks to fit in that dress. However, fans are now questioning whether it worked.
Ripley’s Believe It Or Not Museum uploaded a video of Kardashian trying on the dress where the zipper of the dress is fastened together by a string.
The surprising thing is that the fitting is from a week before the Met Gala. If she wasn’t able to fit into the dress a week before the event, the chances of her not fitting into it during the event are high.
Kim Kardashian covered the back of her dress while she was on the Met Gala red carpet.
While walking up the Met Gala steps, Kardashian wore a white fur coat around her back and there aren't any pictures of her without the fur coat on the red carpet.
Fans are saying that she wore that to cover the zipper on the back of her dress which wasn't completely fastened.
Kardashian did share images of the back of the dress on her Instagram — but she could have been wearing the replica at this point.
The SKIMS founder changed into a replica soon after she left the red carpet.
There had been a special changing room for her at the beginning of the red carpet for her to change into the dress. When she reached the top of the stairs, she immediately got out of the dress.
Social media posts suggest Kim Kardashian didn't actually fit into Marilyn Monroe's dress fully.
One fan posted pictures on Twitter of Kardashian at the dress fitting and another of her at the Red Carpet during the event. The fan also mentioned how she is trying to hide the back of her dress with the white fur coat.
One fan also posted a picture of Kardashian at the dress fitting on the subreddit r/KUWTK thread where several people have left their comments and thoughts about the debate.
Many people mentioned how wearing a replica dress for the entire night would have been easier for Kardashian.
“I will NEVER understand why she didn’t just get a replica made for her. To me, it seems embarrassing to have to walk very uncomfortably in a dress that didn’t fit while covering your back; then to just have a dress made,” one user wrote.
“Then boasting about the weight loss and to still have the dress be this far from actually closing.”
