The couple who shared their first kiss in Kim's SNL episode actually has a longer history than we thought.

It's official! Kim Kardashian has confirmed her relationship with Pete Davidson on the "Honestly with Bari Weiss" podcast when she was asked about her favorite SNL cast member.
She responded to Weiss's question by saying, "you know who it is."
The couple who shared their first kiss in Kim's SNL episode actually has a longer history than we thought as they first met in 2019.
Their history also has some very bizarre details that some might not know of and the list is a little longer than we all might have thought.
The couple met in 2019 at Kid Cudi's Birthday party.

Kim Kardashian and Pete Davidson first met when Kim was still with her ex-husband, Kanye West. The two met on January 31, 2019, at Kid Cudi's birthday party as we can see in the pictures Kim tweeted pictures of the event, saying "Happy Birthday @KidCudi."
Timothée Chalamet was the only other person there, so all in all, a bunch that you would not expect to all be friends.
Kardashian and Davidson shared their first on-screen kiss in an SNL skit ... as Kanye watched.

When hosting Kim's episode of SNL on October 9th, 2021, she and Pete Davidson might have gotten a lot closer as they performed a comical-yet-romantic skit together as the Disney movie couple, Aladdin and Jasmine.
The two shared a kiss and seemed to get really close after the episode. This was the start of their bizarre romantic relationship.
Also interesting to note: Kayne West was in the audience at the SNL show, according to TMZ, which means he must have seen the now-iconic kiss between Kim and Pete. Kanye was "completely fine" with the kiss, according to a source of The Sun, who also claimed that West had "no hurt feelings whatsoever," and "thought it was really funny."

After officially filing for divorce from Kanye West in February 2021, Kim furthers the proceedings soon after her SNL episode in October. Sources from PEOPLE claimed at the time that the two were "just friends" and soon after that Kim bought out Kanye of their Hidden Hills home.
During this same time, Davidson and Kardashian started getting closer — starting rumors that they were the next emo white boy and hot girl couple following Megan Fox and Machine Gun Kelly and Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker.

These were the photos that proved we must be living in a simulation. Pete Davidson and the one and only Kim Kardashian were seen spotted together what seemed like a lot of fun on Halloweekend.
Starting off on October 29th, they went to Knott's Scary Farm in Buena Park, California, where PEOPLE gained exclusive photos of them seen holding hands and posing for pictures on rollercoasters.
A source also told PEOPLE that Davison and Kardashian would “hang in the same circles so they will be together from time to time…it’s just friends hanging out," or so we thought. An insider also told Gawker the day after that the couple actually spent the night together in a hotel in LA on October 28th.
Flavor Flav was to be the first person to post a photo of the couple — and was a birthday gift from Kim to Pete.

According to ET's interview with Flavor Flav, Kim got Pete Flavor Flav as a birthday present and said Pete and Kim gave him "the opportunity" to be the first person to post a photo of the two of them as a couple.
The couple celebrated Davidson's 28th birthday with Kris Jenner and Flavor Flav, who all wore matching plaid pajamas that seemed to be from Kim's Skims collection. According to Us Weekly, the party was at Kris Jenner’s Palm Springs, California home.
Flavor Flav even let Davidson wear the clock off his neck — which he never lets anyone wear — writing on Instagram, "I never took a clock off my neck to give to someone and you will be the last person I do this for."
The day after they celebrated his birthday the couple was seen holding hands in Palm Springs, Kim wearing sweatpants and Pete wearing the same plaid pajama pants everyone was in the night before. A source told Us Weekly that Kim "lights up" around the comedian and that their chemistry is "off the charts and getting stronger each passing day."
Kim Kardashian took a trip to Staten Island.

Who would ever think Kim Kardashian would be visiting Staten Island? Well after their Halloweekend date, the couple was spotted in Staten Island at Pete's favorite restaurant, Campania, for a romantic rooftop dinner, according to The Sun — which was probably the cheapest date she's been on considering they sell $20 pizzas.
The next night they met at an exclusive NYC venue called Zero Bond. During their trip, they also enjoyed a movie date at the Atrium Stadium Cinemas in Staten Island.
Soon after that trip, on November 5th, Kanye West said on a Drink Champs interview that he and Kim are "not even divorced" and that he hasn't seen or signed any divorce papers, most likely referencing the news he heard about Kim and Pete.
Kim Kardashian files legal documents to become 'officially single' from Ye West.

Kim and Pete's relationship seemed to take a serious turn when Kardashian rushed to file legal documents that would declare her officially single from Ye West, which is now Kayne West's new official name.
The news came after West made multiple public pleas to get Kim back, including West's performance of his song 'Runaway' at the LA Memorial Coliseum, in which he changed the lyrics during the performance to 'Run back to me ... more specifically, Kimberly.'
TMZ reported the documents separate her relationship status from issues like child custody, property, and ask for her maiden name to be restored.
