Some us are just not cut out for the job, and making a relationship work is a job. The entire idea can be oppressive to some, while to others, it's the goal. Talk about putting pressure on a person!
One wants the goal, the other finds the goal oppressive... in an equation, that would look like: Me + You = Expectation and Disappointment. The math on that one isn't looking too good, is it? Well, welcome to life on earth in the love department.
Ideals are great and all, but rarely do we live up to them. If your partner wants you to be someone other than who you are, that's when the trouble starts. And if you are someone who tends to remove themselves from a relationship that you just can't grok with, it may have to do with your personality in astrology.

1. Taurus (April 20 - May 20)
Love 'em and leave 'em Taurus. Yep, it's what they do. They dabble now and then in the idea of a "real" relationship, but they get bored so quickly that it's kind of impossible to hang on to one. And if you do hang on to one, they are probably already cheating on you.
They don't walk into relationships wanting to cheat, but being that they are so irresistible in bed, everyone wants them forever, and Taurus ain't got no time for that excess! They ooze charm and good humor, which makes people think they're down for rock solid relationships, but the truth is, Taurus does not stick around, nor will they ever.
2. Sagittarius (November 22 - December 21)
If you are a Sagittarius, then you know what it's like to want desperately to be in a relationship, only to watch it fizzle into nothingness once you're in it. It's hard to be in a relationship with a Sagittarius as they are so into being alone and independent. They will give you the impression that they prefer the company of their own selves more than they do of you — and you'd be right.
Sagittarius is okay alone, and some people don't know how to take that, getting insulted. But that's the Sagittarius thing: they don't ever do it to hurt you, but they do it nonetheless. Relationships don't last with this sign.
3. Libra (September 23 - October 22)
They don't stay in relationships because they don't want to be in relationships. It's all about fast sex and what they can get from you. If you've got money, Libra will stick around until the money is gone, then they'll slip out the back, and that'll be the end of that.
Libra is the quintessential polyamorous player — the thrill for them is in the numbers, not the solo. They like multiple partners and zero commitment, so when they do hunker down and try to do the relationship thing with one person, they usually end up hurting the person they're with, simply because they can't be tied down.
4. Scorpio (October 23 - November 21)
Scorpio has no intention of staying in any relationship, unless, of course, they find themself the perfect soulmate. And we all know how hard it is to find anything perfect, let alone another human being, one we can call "soulmate."
They make dedicated partners, but unless you're the one that they dedicate themselves to, it's not going to last. They are demanding and needy, but they are also control freaks with high expectations.
If you don't deliver, they lose their interest, and leave you high and dry. Fall in love with a Scorpio and it's a promise that you'll lose your mind.
5. Gemini (May 21 - June 20)
Gemini is such a judgmental sign that it's nearly impossible to stay in a relationship with one. In fact, if you are in a relationship with a Gemini, you most likely suffer from intense self-loathing and lack of self-esteem.
Gemini wants to be in a relationship, but only if they can "fix" you. They aren't interested in healthy people; they prowl and stalk for those with severe vulnerability. They want servants who shut up and listen, rather than lovers who share and live life.

6. Aries (March 21 - April 19)
Aries comes with built-in expectations; in other words, they are true taskmasters. They know what they want in a relationship and they will hound you until you give up the goods. This is usually the beginning of the end when you're in a relationship with Aries.
