Their word is not their bond.

When you promise to do something, do you keep your word? Or, are you just trying to appease someone so they’ll stop bugging you? It’s easy to make a promise but much harder to keep one, which is why so many people make empty promises they have no intention of keeping.
When you make a promise you don’t intend to keep, you’re not only lying, you’re deliberately letting down the person to whom you made that promise. It’s much better to say you can’t do something than to promise things you can’t deliver.
If you make enough empty promises, you'll get a reputation of being untrustworthy. Because there are only so many times you can give your word on something and not act upon it without making people angry.
Unfortunately, the zodiac signs who make empty promises are guilty of never following through. And the astrology of their personalities explains a lot.
If you make a promise so you prevent people from getting disappointed, when the truth comes out that you were not only unable to keep the promise but that you didn’t even attempt to follow through, you’ll get all that animosity you were trying to avoid.
If the promises you don’t keep are tiny, is it still a big deal? Well, enough small unkept promises can add up to major consequences. You may lose a job, customers, or even friends if you never keep your word!
1. Gemini (May 21 - June 20)
When Gemini makes a promise, they have every intention of keeping it. However, Geminis have a lot on their plate all the time, and they can get overwhelmed by everything they have to do.
When they're promising something, they don't think if they actually can do it. It's difficult for them to stay focused on a task, and they can bite off more than they can chew. They have a fear of disapproval and letting people down, so they'll make the promise, only to weasel out of it later.
2. Aquarius (January 20 - February 18)
Aquarius may make a promise just to get something they want. They use promises as currency, and there's no guarantee they'll keep their word. They can be manipulative and are able to justify it to themselves as being for the greater good.
Sometimes, Aquarians are more inconsistent than anybody would like, especially where promises are concerned. If they're feeling pressured to keep their promise, the more likely it is that they won't.
3. Libra (September 23 - October 22)
Libras have a need to please and want to keep everybody happy. They want to be seen as someone you can trust and someone who is reliable, so they'll make promises they aren't likely to keep.
It would be much better for Libra to be honest and just admit they don't want to do something, but they're afraid they'll get into trouble. They make such big promises that if they think about them for even a minute, they'd know they couldn't keep them.
4. Pisces (February 19 - March 20)
Pisces are so kind and they want to assist anyone who needs their help. The trouble is that it's difficult for them to say no. They agree to all kinds of things and make promises left and right. But when it comes time to deliver, Pisces is too overwhelmed and busy to satisfy even half of the promises they've made.
Pisces are idealistic and want to think of themselves as being the kind of person who keeps all the promises they make, but when it comes right down to it, only a super human could deliver on all of those promises.
5. Sagittarius (November 22 - December 21)
If fulfilling a promise doesn't put Sagittarius out too much and makes them look good in the process, they may be able to keep their word. However, they're careless with their promises, and they may forget them right after making them.
Sagittarians aren't malicious, just a little hung up on themselves. It's not that they're not generous or honorable, they just are much more focused on their needs. What they want to do with their time is more important than keeping a promise.
6. Aries (March 21 - April 19)
When Aries makes a promise, they're positive they'll be able to keep them. But then things will come up, Aries will get swamped, and suddenly that promise goes to the bottom of their list.
Aries will agree to something without thinking about the logistics of doing it, and task-organization isn't one of their strengths. They don't want anybody to question their abilities, so they'll promise to do something that is ultimately too difficult to do without a lot of extra work.
