She got all the rotten credit for being the one in the relationship who couldn't stop berating her spouse, time after time until he couldn't take it anymore and... what did he do? He ran to the bar and demanded a Jack and Coke, and then he let it rip while some strangers got an earful of just how bad his wife was — how cruel, how judgmental!
Then, we realized it wasn't just she, it was he who was nagging and "critiquing" and disapproving of her, just as much as she was of him. Not making enough money. Not keeping your body in teenage good shape. Not paying enough attention. Not listening. Not. Not. Not.
While it's not the case in all relationships, there are some judgmental zodiac signs who are more than critical of their partner.
Not everyone judges their partner, though most of us do get into that horrible familiarity that makes us think we can, and freely. Familiarity breeds resentment, they say, and it's true.
Often times, because we are close to a person, we believe we are granted some kind of free rights to insult or judge them, as it they are our possession. So, who are the zodiac signs who judge their partners?
1. Libra (September 23 - October 22)
Some of the surprising traits of Libra, they are the worst, most critical judges around. The truly awful part is that they do it passive-aggressively. They don't actually voice their nasty opinion of what they hate most about you; they sort of wishy-washily imply that you are ugly, or stupid, or boring.
Libra is into you for the sex or the money you give them. They're not there for your mind, your ideas or your contribution to the world at large; nope, if they had their way with their partner, it would be legs to Jesus, and then shut up.
2. Gemini (May 21 - June 20)
It is impossible to be the partner of a Gemini. Go back to when you first met: you were a mess, they came to your aid. They helped you, you began to think they were an angel from above, and then, the put-downs started. And the non-stop judgements on your looks, your ways, your interests.
Gemini builds their partner all the way up so that when they come in with that emotional scythe, they can chop you right down to size, where they want you. Gemini despises the person they love, and that person always gets to find out the hard way.
3. Cancer (June 21 - July 22)
When you can't look in the mirror to see your own faults, you work up an appetite to find fault in others, and that's why when Cancer partners up, that partner will take the brunt of all that misplaced judgement. Being the partner of a Cancer is a study in how bad you are, how inferior, how un-evolved.
Cancer is very particular about your "woke-ness," and if you show even the slightest sign of not getting with the woke program, then Cancer will let you know in no uncertain terms that you are a baseless Neanderthal who doesn't deserve to be with them.
4. Scorpio (October 23 - November 21)
Under the guise of "I'm only trying to help you," Scorpio gets away with all the horrendous judgement they can pass on to their partner. Scorpio is the ultimate control freak; they want you to talk a certain way, avoid certain words, think like them and act as expected. When you don't do what they want, they got snooty and picky, and begin to pick you apart.
There is no winning with a Scorpio because they cannot change or learn. If you are the partner of a Scorpio, then your life is a non-stop judged hell, and it's going to be up to you alone to break that chain of command.
5. Virgo (August 23 - September 22)
Virgo never really likes anyone, even the people they love. They are truly old-fashioned when it comes to judging their partner. There's no soft approach here — there are screams and demands.
If you don't step up to the plate, then Virgo will make it even harder for you to try. In fact, unless you're so dedicated to your Virgo, you'll want to bolt after the first twenty sessions of "Let's destroy you bit by bit."
Virgo sees only faults in you, in everyone. It's difficult to be the partner of a Virgo, unless of course you're a masochist, which many people are.
6. Aries (March 21 - April 19)
If you want to watch a family war, marry two Aries together and watch the sparks fly. Aries cannot help themselves — they need to criticize their partner. And why? Because no matter how much they love and adore them, they can never stop finding things about them that they find wrong, or annoying, or just plain unacceptable.
Aries is a true B-word, and fighting gives them energy. They are aware that their words hurt and will try to pass it off as something they do "for your own benefit." Lesson number one: It's never for your own benefit.
