Who is Stephanie Acevedo? Though her name first came to prominence as a result of her role in the hit VH1 show Cartel Crew, Acevedo is someone who has transcended her infamous family name to have a career of her own.
The Miami native actually has an interesting background — one that has nothing to do with crime, or even the entertainment industry — so it's interesting that she's become known more for a small part on a reality show than for her myriad accomplishments.

Of course, now the spotlight has turned on her since she was photographed "getting cozy" with controversial NFL star Antonio Brown. So let's look at what we know about her.
1. Who is Stephanie Acevedo? She's signed to Lil Wayne's Young Money record label.
The Young Money record label is responsible for some of the biggest names in hip hop music today: in addition to turning Lil Wayne into a household name, Young Money has launched the careers of Drake, Tyga, and Nicki Minaj.
So, when it was announced that Acevedo was signed to Lil Wayne's Young Money record label back in 2015, fans were excited to see where her career would go next.
2. She was rumored to be having an affair with Lil Wayne.
Lil Wayne may make good music, but he's not exactly known for being a faithful partner. So, perhaps it should come as no surprise that back in February 2019, Acevedo was rumored to be sleeping with Lil Wayne. The rumors were so persistent, in fact, that Lil Wayne's fiancé Dhea Sodano took to her Instagram stories to blast Acevedo for "f***king her boss."
Sodano also said that Acevedo was a fake, and that "real women" don't sleep with another woman's man. Acevedo responded to the accusations on her own Instagram stories by implying that Sodano was "intimidated" by her, and said that she was trying to be the "best version of herself."
3. Acevedo is a former medical student.
Acevedo didn't always dream of having a career in the entertainment industry. Before she signed to Young Money, she graduated from Miami Dade College's medical program, and had every intention of becoming a doctor. She also worked at Telemundo, and even worked briefly as a ring girl for the Championship Fighting Alliance MMA league.

4. Her father was a drug trafficker.
On Cartel Crew, Acevedo talks extensively about her father's past as a drug trafficker. However, he was unfortunately arrested for his role as a trafficker "in the cartel."
His prison sentence meant he was away from his family for a long time, but he was far from a great father and husband when he returned home from his jail stint. According to Acevedo, her father was abusive and cheated on her mother all the time.
5. Acevedo will be featured on Antonio Brown's upcoming album.
Even though Brown posted a photo of him with Acevedo — with the caption "no white women 2020!" — it was recently revealed that Acevedo will be featured on Brown's upcoming album. So, these rumors could all be a publicity stunt to promote his new album (that nobody asked for).
6. Brown has enough of his own relationship problems.
Before allegedly hooking up with Acevedo, Brown was linked to Chelsie Kyriss for a long time. She even stood by him in the wake of his sexual assault allegations!
However, it was recently revealed that the duo broke up, and their breakup was messy and filled with drama. He even evicted her from their home.
We'll keep you posted on any developments to see if Brown's relationship with Acevedo is real... or all a publicity stunt.
