getty Do you constantly go over your budget? It’s easy to do, and even someone who’s financially responsible can spend too much. You may not be used to having a budget so you forget about it, or you may think it’s okay to go over this month and then find yourself over-spending the next month.
People who are able to stay within their budget share certain personality traits, as do people who absolutely can’t stay on budget. As with many things, astrology has a lot to do with our money habits. And there are some zodiac signs who always go over budget.
Staying on budget is challenging, especially if you’re not used to living on one. If watching your money and watching your money don’t come naturally to you, you’ll have to learn how to budget in a way you can follow.
Budgeting means allotting various amounts of money for certain things. You want to make sure there’s money to pay for things like rent, insurance, and food. Then, after the monthly bills are taken care of, you have a sum for social and/or savings.
However, it’s the unexpected bills that can cause havoc on your budget — things like medical expenses, vet bills, car repairs, or investment opportunities. You have to budget a safety net, or you’ll be in trouble.
1. PISCES (February 19 - March 20)
Pisces go over budget because they're too kind and giving. If someone needs help, especially financially, Pisces is going to give it to them. They are the kind of people who would donate their last ten dollars to someone rather than save it for themselves.
When they go over budget, they tend to forget to make a note of it, so they don't have the right running total in their mind. By the time they've become aware of their budget, it's not even close to being correct.
2. SAGITTARIUS (November 22 - December 21)
Sagittarius is very optimistic but not always realistic. They'll make a budget that has nothing to do with their actual finances. These individuals want to be better with saving and being on a budget, so they set goals that are very difficult to meet.
Their intentions are good but they're setting themselves up to fail. They need to look at their finances and spending with a critical eye, and make a budget they can stick to.
3. LIBRA (September 23 - October 22)
Libras have a problem with impulse buying, and when they do purchase something that was unplanned, they forget to write it down. If they don't follow their budget and make adjustments, they end up with a big mess that makes them feel frustrated.
By not tracking their spending, they'll never be able to work within their budget.
4. GEMINI (May 21 - June 20)
Geminis have a lot going on and there are times they honestly forget they even have a budget. They may make a budget when they need to take control of their finances and be responsible, and then will forget about it when they get busy.
In other words, their budget relies on their mood. And if they're feeling like they need a treat or to indulge themselves, that budget is going right out the window.
5. ARIES (March 21 - April 19)
With Aries, they go over budget because they get their needs and their wants mixed up. They don't realize they don't need that new pair of shoes — they want them.
Aries can rationalize their purchases all day long, but the truth is, when you buy everything you want but it's not budgeted for, you're going to spend too much. When this happens month after month, you either have to adjust your budget or give it up.
