5 Zodiac Signs Who Are The Biggest Enablers
They're in denial about the seriousness of the situation.
getty Just like there are some zodiac signs in astrology who are most likely to be addicts, there are other zodiac signs who are the biggest enablers.
There are two types of enablers. One is someone who assists or helps in making something possible, like the tutor who helped you get an A in Geometry. The second kind is someone who encourages or facilitates negative or self-destructive behavior, such as the person who brings junk food to someone who is on a diet.
Sometimes, enablers know exactly what they’re doing, and they don’t care or are too exhausted to fight with the person they’re enabling. They continue to supply them with contraband or cheer their bad behavior on.
There are times when the enabler doesn’t even know that what they’re doing is harmful. If you don’t know that someone has a drinking problem and you bring them a bottle of wine, you may be enabling them but have the best intentions.
Enabling isn’t just giving an addict the things they’re addicted to — sometimes, it’s helping them. One would think that helping someone is always a good thing, but there are times when we must reach rock bottom before we realize there’s a problem.
1. PISCES (February 19 - March 20)
Pisces are enablers because they're always willing to give the person as many chances as they need. They are hopeful that if the addict knows Pisces is there and believes in them, they'll come around on their own.
In Pisces' mind, they're not enabling as much as supporting. Though this zodiac sign may be misreading the entire situation, their intentions are good and they're always optimistic the addict will turn their life around, as long as they know they have support.
2. CANCER (June 21 - July 22)
Cancer is the most loving parent of all the zodiac signs, and they will constantly come to the rescue of the addict. Cancer can't stand the thought of their loved one alone and in pain without any support.
They're protective and faithful without expecting anything in return, so if the addict refuses to make any promises about their recovery, Cancer will still be there for them. They have a very difficult time saying, "No, I won't help you," even if it's the best course of action.
3. LIBRA (September 23 - October 22)
Libras sometimes enable to keep the status quo and avoid conflict. They may rationalize the addict's behavior, saying that it's not that bad, being in denial about the seriousness of the problem, or reassuring themselves there isn't a problem at all.
It hurts Libra to see anyone in pain, especially someone they love, and it's so much easier to give in and give the addict what they need, rather than getting into an altercation about it.
4. CAPRICORN (December 22 - January 19)
Capricorns tend to enable in two ways: they financially support their loved one, and with that financial support try to control them. They may feel at a loss on what to do, and their instincts may be to throw money at the problem.
Capricorns are very wise, but they do have trouble in situations where they can't relate, and the inability to stop a destructive behavior on one's own is something out of their wheelhouse. Capricorns tend to not see how they're enablers.
5. AQUARIUS (January 20 - February 18)
Aquarians enable by the way they think the problem will improve given enough time. They're independent and self-reliant so they think everybody has the same capabilities, and they may not understand that some people are unable to conquer their problems head-on.
While Aquarians are brilliant, they do tend to lack empathy and are known to bottle their emotions. They may distance themselves instead of stepping in, and this is a form of enabling, although they may not see it that way.
