5 Zodiac Signs Who Throw Pity-Parties When Things Don't Go Their Way.

Throwing yourself a pity party means to indulge in self-pity and elicit pity from other people. You don’t suffer in silence; instead, you go after all the attention you can get. If it means that people feel sorry for you, that’s fine.

A pity party isn’t everyone’s go-to when they’re feeling sad, and choosing this way to respond to heartbreak, disappointment, or sadness can be for a variety of reasons. You may need to have your pain validated by others, or maybe it makes you feel better to express your feelings to another person.

There are some zodiac signs in astrology who are more likely to act this way. These signs tend to be on the more emotional end of the spectrum, and are comfortable sharing their feelings with others. They are also open about what they’re going through and don't care what others think.

Somehow, knowing that someone else thinks you’ve been treated unfairly or have gotten a raw deal can make you feel better.

1. CANCER (June 21 - July 22)

If Cancer is going to suffer, they need someone there holding their hand. Sometimes, Cancers are really pessimistic and if something goes wrong, they're on edge because they fully expect more bad things to happen.

Their reality becomes distorted and they see almost everything with a negative point of view. Cancers can be clingy, especially when they're feeling sorry for themselves and the future looks bleak.

2. LIBRA (September 23 - October 22)

Libras don't like to be alone; when they're feeling sad, they will reach out to people for comfort. They tend to be honest about their feelings and don't hold back when sharing them. Sometimes their egos take a hit and they feel sorry for themselves, and need to feel loved and supported.

They know that self-pity isn't the most attractive state, but they don't care who sees them at their pity party. Eventually, they'll get over it and be the charming social butterfly they usually are.

3. PISCES (February 19 - March 20)

A Pisces may try to work out their emotions in some kind of art project, try to escape their feelings by sleeping, or they may just indulge their negative emotions by expressing them. They're compassionate and loving, so they expect the people in their lives to also be.

They aren't great with brushing things off and tend to struggle with just about everything. If Pisces is going to wallow in self-pity and self-medicate by over-indulging in alcohol, food, sex, or drugs, they may as well make it a party.

4. SAGITTARIUS (November 22 - December 21)

When a Sagittarius is feeling sorry for themselves (which is admittedly not often), they're not going to keep it to themselves. They adore attention and if having a pity party is a way to get it, that's what they will do.

They're honest and straightforward, and they're not going to lie when they feel like they've been screwed over. Generally, Sagittarians are very positive and upbeat, but they're still human. When everything seems to be going wrong, they need someone to make them feel loved.

5. CAPRICORN (December 22 - January 19)

Capricorns work so hard, and when something happens — they fail a class, or their boss yelled at them at work — it's devastating. They are extremely capable, hardworking, and resilient, but sometimes they just need to rant and rave and get it out.

Since Capricorns rarely over-indulge in anything, they occasionally need to because they're feeling self-pity. They deserve to wallow in it as much as they want because they'll be back on their feet soon enough.
