getty Texting is one of the primary ways in which we communicate with each other, which is why it’s so aggravating when someone doesn’t respond. When someone doesn’t answer your text, it can start you down a rabbit hole. Was it something you said or did? Are they angry with you? Did they lose their phone?
Is their non-response a message for you to decipher? Do they not even have the energy or courtesy to let you know that your friendship is over? For the MIA zodiac signs who never respond to texts, it's a constant stream of consciousness for their friends.
When you text someone you’ve just met or just started to date, this form of communication can be the first move. If they don’t answer back, you may be at a loss as to what you’re supposed to do next.
Not texting back can be a passive-aggressive way of behaving; instead of doing something, they do nothing and secretly hope you get the message to move on.
1. AQUARIUS (January 20 - February 18)
Aquarius individuals aren't good at responding to texts because they get caught up in a project or activity and can't immediately text you back. And then they forget about the text in the first place.
If enough time passes, it seems awkward to respond to a text that seems stale and unimportant. If you have something significant to say, you'll text again or call. Another reason they don't text back is that they're somewhere in nature where there's no Wi-Fi.
2. TAURUS (April 20 - May 20)
Taurus are fabulous, but they can be lazy. They like their downtime and sometimes responding to a text takes too much effort. They don't mean any disrespect, but your text isn't significant enough for them to get up and text you back.
If you want to get in touch with them, go to where Taurus is — preferably with a bottle of something bubbly or a great dessert, and talk to them face-to-face.
3. ARIES (March 21 - April 19)
Are you serious? Aries is already overscheduled, and now you want them to answer your texts? Are you aware that there are only 24 hours in a day? No offense, but you're not a priority for Aries. They may put you on the list, but it's probably not at the top.
Aries is too busy to give you advice or help you work through your issues. It's good for you to figure it out for yourself. They are multitasking enough already without adding responding to texts into the mix.
4. VIRGO (August 23 - September 22)
Virgos are the type of people who don't spend a lot of time texting. For one, they have a lot of work to do. They don't want anyone to think they're just hanging around waiting for someone to text them.
They don't respond to texts because they don't want to encourage anyone to feel free to text them in the first place. Only text them if it's an emergency. But if it is an emergency, why are you texting them in the first place? Call them if it's urgent.
5. LIBRA (September 23 - October 22)
Libras have every intention of responding to texts, it's just that they overthink it. They want to respond in a clever, fun way, and since they've already put the bar so high, they've turned a simple response into a big deal.
It's like Twitter for some people: if they don't have something funny to say, they don't say anything at all. Libras don't want to send boring texts, and by the time they come up with something good to say, it's too late for them to reply without seeming odd.
