getty Isn't it amazing how much the power of an apology has? We can wait a lifetime for someone to apologize to us. It's as if we have this amazing grace within ourselves to let go of something painful... if only we could extract that one little item we need in order to make things better: an apology.
And what's even more strange is how hard apologies are to come by. Why is that many people don't know how to apologize for wrongdoings? When you add astrology to the mix, you get a better understanding of how the zodiac signs apologize (or don't).
Perhaps it's an inability to admit we were wrong, or it might be that we don't see that we were wrong and that an apology isn't necessary. Why do so many people twist apologies so that by the time they're given, they're meaningless? As in, "I'm sorry you feel that way." That's no apology! That's just humoring someone so they shut up, yet it's the most common kind of apology.
Then there are the people who just won't apologize, even if they're standing over the murdered body of your mom, while they hold the dagger in their hand. Ego prevents many from giving closure, and closure is exactly what apologies do for a person, on both sides.
