The difference between a relationship where you and your partner take each up and down in stride, and one where you’re both on completely different pages about how well the relationship is going, is that only one of those relationships can let you know if he’s really happy or if he’s thinking about leaving the relationship.
Even if he really is happy in his relationship with you, it’s always a good idea to talk about your deal breakers together.
Not so that you can always make sure to avoid them to live happily ever after, but because it’s good to know what’s important to him and what’s going to jeopardize the relationship.

ARIES (March 21 - April 19)
The one thing Aries can’t stand is feeling trapped or suffocated in his relationship. The minute he feels like things between you two are becoming way too close for comfort, he’s thinking about leaving. Aries needs freedom and space.
He can’t be with someone who is constantly keeping tabs on him or depends on him too much because he needs a life outside of the relationship, too.
The thing that will make Aries leave the relationship is feeling claustrophobic. There is a very delicate balance between keeping an Aries interested and happy and pushing him away.
Unfortunately, only Aries knows the secret to keeping Aries happy. If your relationship is strong enough, he will be honest with you. Otherwise, it’s up to you to do some detective work.
TAURUS (April 20 - May 20)
For a relationship to work with Taurus, he needs total respect. You can’t expect him to be on your side if you don’t stand up for the same values or are working toward a similar goal in life, or at least respect his journey.
Taurus is one of those relationship traditionalists. He must have certain things from his S.O. to feel like the relationship is really working.

Some say that opposites attract, but when it comes to Gemini, being similar to him makes the relationship last a whole lot longer than trying to find common ground between your differences.
He is the twins of the zodiac, after all. Common ground is a lot more important to him than working through differences.
Gemini will end the relationship if you’re too different from him. He likes uniqueness and individuality, sure, but if it feels like you’re constantly butting heads or your interests are just too different to put up with for the sake of the relationship, he’s going to call it quits.
It might be a hard truth to wrap your head around, but just as Gemini wants to be happy, he wants you to be with someone who makes you happy, too.
CANCER (June 21 - July 22)
Cancer will go to great lengths to get to know you and create a strong, long-lasting relationship with you. That said, there is only so much he can do on his own before things get too hard for him to handle.
A relationship is something that is meant to be between two people. If one person (Cancer, in this case) feels like all of the responsibility is put on their shoulders, the relationship is sure to fail.
Cancer is a very patient and forgiving zodiac sign, but even the kindest people will have their limits. Cancer will end the relationship if he can’t crack you. It’s one thing to be reluctant to open up in a new relationship at first.
But it’s another thing if he always feels like you’re hiding your true self from him, or if he feels like he has to work twice as hard just to get to know you. Cancer can only work so hard for the relationship.
LEO (July 23 - August 22)
One thing Leo will never do is baby his S.O. – you can count on that. He needs to be in a relationship with someone who will lift him up and inspire him to try harder in life, not someone he feels like he needs to babysit. Sure, he has a big, lion-sized heart, but part of being in love is pushing each other to succeed, isn’t it?
The thing that is most likely to make Leo leave the relationship is if you become passive and stop trying. Leo needs you to be motivated and enthusiastic about being with him.

LIBRA (September 23 - October 22)
It should be admired more that Libra is as positive as he is. He always tries to see the world with rose-colored glasses on because it’s so much more important to him to be optimistic instead of pessimistic or even realistic about life. Libra definitely has an idealistic view of the world, and that really influences his relationship.
While he knows that it can be difficult at times to look on the bright side, he still tries his hardest to be positive. The reason he’ll leave the relationship is if you’re too negative for him.
He knows that not every day can be positive, but if you’re not even willing to try, it’s going to show him that you’re not going to try when your relationship needs extra TLC.
SCORPIO (October 23 - November 21)
Anyone who knows Scorpio knows that trust and loyalty are everything to him. He cannot have a loving, lasting relationship with you – or anyone – if these two things are not front and center. He doesn’t let just anyone into his life, or give anyone access to his heart, without thorough vetting.
Any hesitation from you to open up to Scorpio or to be patient while he learns to be vulnerable is most likely to make him end the relationship. Scorpio does not like to be rushed into anything that requires him to expose parts of himself that he often keeps hidden, like his feelings.

We tend to think that relationships need to be serious and intense all the time, but for Sagittarius, relationships should be about having fun with your best friend. CAPRICORN (December 22 - January 19)
Capricorn is probably the most responsible and grown-up zodiac sign of the bunch, and because of that, he needs someone who can be just as adult as he is. When he looks for the perfect relationship, he looks for an S.O. who can hold their own and be ready to talk about the important and sometimes hard things about life and love.
What will make him leave your relationship is if you’re too irresponsible for him. He doesn’t have time to deal with his own responsibilities AND yours, especially if you prove to him that you can’t hold your own. He wants a partner he can count on to be independent with or without him. If you’re too clingy, reckless, or childlike, he’s not going to stick around for much longer.
AQUARIUS (January 20 - February 18)
Aquarius is one of those zodiac signs that needs freedom and individuality to feel happy and welcome in a relationship. While he may fall for someone who shows him he’s loved and cared for right away, the relationship will soon drain him and take too much out of him. He will learn quite fast that clinginess can be very real.
Aquarius will leave the relationship if he feels like he is being held back. Pisces would go to the ends of the earth for the people he loves, and you can really see that dedication in every relationship he has been in. He may love too hard for some people, but to him, that dedication and passion for love is what makes him such a great S.O. That said, he needs to know that you are just as on board with the relationship as he is.
One thing that Pisces always tries to do for his S.O. is to be a shoulder to cry on and an ear to listen to their problems. The amount of work he puts into getting to know who you are is the same amount he expects from you.
