Nothing feels worse than wanting your lover to be proud of you and happy to be with you in a public place, only to have them drop your hand or pretend they aren't with you "in that way." Yet, millions of people are less than affectionate when it comes to PDA, and more private and withdrawn than one could imagine.
Does this objection to affection have anything to do with astrology? The stars can act as a guide, and because our personality traits are set by the zodiac sign we're born under, it could be the reason some people want nothing to do with PDA.
These people might claim that they are "just a private person" and that is definitely a legit claim, but there's also something about that claim that tends to feel inauthentic. Being a private person is one thing, but being in a relationship with someone whom you don't stop touching in private, only to disregard in a public situation, well... that's just rude.
When a privately affectionate person chooses to act "single" in public, it's very telling. And the tale is that they want to come across as single, available and not tied down by you.
When someone can't show PDA to you, it's because they are afraid of what others will think. In their mind, a show of affection is a show of weakness; they'd rather the nameless public approve of them and their solo behavior.
Being attached to another person is cloying to them; they will reject all affection and will refrain from giving any if they think that, maybe, someone else might be turned off by the display and, hence, there goes any possible sexual dalliance with someone other than YOU in the future. Those who hate showing PDA are those who are hedging their bets; they are pretending they are single just in case there's someone better out there.
1. AQUARIUS (January 20 - February 18)
You despise PDA because you hate being touched. And you hate touching. So, if you hate all these things, why on earth would you put on a show for all the world to see?
You wouldn't, which is why you are never seen holding hands or kissing your lover in public. It's beneath you; a show for others to gawk at, and one you won't put yourself through.
2. SCORPIO (October 23 - November 21)
Unless it's to show the world that you have a slave on a collar and that you're in an S&M relationship, you'd rather the affection being kept on the down low. You hate PDA because you don't want people thinking you're affectionate, and that's a good thing in a way because you are not affection in the slightest to anyone or anything but yourself.
PDA is a no no, unless you can show your audience that the person receiving the affection is your submissive.
3. TAURUS (April 20 - May 20)
You will literally have the best sex you've ever had with the person who drives you out of your mind in all the best ways, but once you're outside with them, you like the world to see you as a solo voyager.
You're rude and selfish and you really don't care what your lover thinks as you ditch him for whatever is more interesting to you at that moment. You're a freak in the sheets and a solo player on the streets.
4. LIBRA (September 23 - October 22)
You are all about appearances and the last thing you'd ever want anyone thinking about you is that you're in a relationship. What others think of you is probably the number thing on your mind, so if you are in a situation where showing public displays of affection seems the thing to do, you would prefer to crack open the cyanide pill you've stored under your tongue.
You want the world to think you're always available for sex... with everyone but the one you're in bed with.
5. PISCES (February 19 - March 10)
One might think as a weepy, needy, affection-starved Pisces that you'd relish the idea of PDA, but in truth, you hate it. You hate it because it's never enough and you get impatient all too fast when waiting for it to happen.
You believe your lover owes you PDA, but you'll never give them a smidge, and certainly not before they attempt to give you some first. You set the stakes so high that by the time your lover moves in to kiss you, in a public place, you've already judged them as fake, wrong and less than what you want.
6. CAPRICORN (December 22 - January 19)
PDA is just not your thing. At all. There's a time and a place for everything, and showing affection to your loved one in public is just so unnecessary and nonsensical to you.
Home is where the affection should take place, and anything that resembles PDA is just something that doesn't make sense to you. You are super practical and there really is no room for PDA in your strict world of rules and regulations.
