getty You may not be familiar with the word coddled, but you’ve probably had some experience with it. Coddled means to be babied, sheltered, and indulged. It’s often used when talking about someone’s parenting style by not letting a child make his or her own mistakes.
Some people welcome coddling. It makes them feel safe and loved. If you’re someone who would rather get praise than harsh criticism, you’ll like being coddled. If you’re spoiled and you want to be indulged in every request, no matter how outlandish, you enjoy being coddled!
And astrology is a great way to determine the zodiac signs who like to be coddled. Life and adulting are difficult, and sometimes we don’t want to have to work so hard. It’s nice to be taken care of and to have someone make sure that you have everything you want without having to expend a lot of energy getting it.
Having to be strong and mature is exhausting, so if someone wants to make sure that your life is pleasant and carefree, there are times when you let them. But you can't let yourself be coddled for too long because then you'll never learn the realities of life.
1. CANCER (June 21 - July 22)
Cancer individuals would like to be able to protect their loved ones from ever feeling pain or making mistakes, so they can be guilty of sometimes coddling their children. However, there are times when even the strongest, most capable people want to be babied a little.
A Cancer can feel as if there are times that their needs are overlooked, so in order to make them feel better, they love to be indulged, cared for, and not forced to make all the tough decisions. If they are in a certain mood, the last thing they want is to have to solve a difficult problem or do something that is draining to them.
If someone wants to coddle them, it's okay with Cancers. They know that, eventually, they'll be back to handling everything.
2. PISCES (February 19 - March 20)
As it's been said many times, Pisces are very sensitive and giving, but that can be tiring. Pisces don't always want to be the leader or the warrior, and sometimes they want to just lay back and have someone take care of them.
If they have a manager or an assistant who will take care of all the boring things that have to be done so Pisces is free to think and create, that's amazing. They would rather someone else take the lead of a fight, and if they want to shield Pisces from the conflict, that's okay with them.
3. LIBRA (September 23 - October 22)
We know that Libra will stand up when they see injustice or intolerance, but they don't feel the need to engage in every battle or conflict. They don't thrive on conflict, they thrive on harmony, so if someone wants to make their life a little easier and a little more peaceful by coddling them, then Libra is fine with that.
They'd rather believe that they're great than have to deal with constant criticism or micro-managing. Libras also enjoy being pampered and indulged. Why shouldn't Libra experience the good life, especially if someone else wants to do all the work?
4. ARIES (March 21 - April 19)
You might not think that someone so bold and brash would ever like to be coddled, but even the most energetic and adventurous people sometimes like to have people supporting them and encouraging them. If someone wants to protect Aries from the harsh realities of life and just encourage them to see the world in the most optimistic way possible, Aries isn't going to hate on them for it.
When you have people who support you and think you're great no matter what you do, you are confident and have the freedom to take chances.
5. GEMINI (May 21 - June 20)
Geminis tend to have full schedules — they work, they have projects, and they have a ton of social events. They're very present with what's happening in the world, and sometimes they feel overwhelmed by everything and they need to feel as if they are invincible and can do no wrong in order to continue forward.
Geminis, like everyone, like to feel cared for and enjoy the occasional indulgence. If constant positive reinforcement is a part of coddling, then bring it on because Geminis eat that stuff up with a spoon!
