If you try to give the impression that you’re something you’re not, you’re a poser. Posers aren’t the real deal; they’re people who may not have the strongest sense of self so they feel the need to pretend they’re someone they’re not, even when putting on a facade can be exhausting.

In astrology, can we determine the poser zodiac signs from those who keep it real? Using the stars to our advantage, we can single out the fakers.

If you’re someone who isn’t comfortable in your own skin, you might be a poser. Some people like this hide behind their false personas because they can’t accept themselves, and the more they strive to be someone else, the further they get away from who they are.

When you’ve lost your sense of self, it will take an effort to rebuild it. You might not be a poser in real life, but on social media it’s easier to present as something you’re not. If you carefully curate your content, you can present as someone completely different than who you are.

It can be hard to be authentically ourselves, but in the end, it’s worth it to just be who you are.

1. SAGITTARIUS (November 22 - December 21)

Since Sagittarians crave newness, change, and travel, they'll often find themselves in a situation that they don't have any experience with, so pretending to be a local or someone who is very familiar with the culture is a good way to fit in and not stand out in an embarrassing way.

They pick up on mannerisms, vocal styles, and are excellent mimics of behavior. It's not a bad idea to try to blend in when you're out of your depths.

2. GEMINI (May 21 - June 20)

Geminis have such versatile personalities that sometimes they'll start acting like someone else and not even be aware that they're doing it. An American Gemini might be in a conversation with someone British and start talking in a British accent.

They often don't intentionally change their personalities to mirror someone else's — it just naturally happens. Their ability to switch between their real selves and their fake ones could be because they already have a dual personality.

3. CANCER (June 21 - July 22)

Posers who are Cancers often feel the need to exaggerate how smart they are, and when someone says something interesting or makes a good point, they will say things like, "I was going to say the same thing," or, "That's exactly what I was thinking."

They want to share in the credit of a great idea or a perceptive comment. They can't just acknowledge someone else's brilliance without wanting a little bit of the glory for themselves.

4. LEO (July 23 - August 22)

Leos who are posers can be accused of excessive showing off, and they tend to be the fakest on social media. They go online and post about the things that they're obsessed with (usually something the person they're emulating likes), and how no one is a bigger fan, supporter, or advocate of it than they are.

Leos want all the attention, and if acting like someone else who is more popular or has more followers than they do, that's fine.

5. LIBRA (September 23 - October 22)

One of the ways that you can identify a Libra as a poser is their fake behavior. Sometimes they'll agree with someone just to avoid an argument or they'll act like a popular person so they can be popular as well.

They tend to be gracious, and one way to ingratiate yourself with other people is to mirror their likes and dislikes. Libras like to put on various personas because they feel as if their own personality isn't interesting enough.
