Each zodiac sign in astrology has their own way of doing things, especially when it comes to love. A grand gesture for one person may work, but for someone else, a small action is all they need.
So much of how we not only express love but also how we interpret it is based on our personalities and beliefs. And the romantic zodiac signs all vary from how they express theirs. When it comes to how the zodiac signs sweep you off your feet, it all depends on what each individual is like.
We all know how romance is portrayed in the movies — there’s flirting, huge romantic gestures, and then an immediate connection of souls. Unfortunately, sometimes it can be hard to decipher when someone is making romantic overtures. It’s never a good idea to assume that you know each where someone is coming from if you actually have no clue.
Sure, if you get to your partner's house and they’ve not only made you a beautiful dinner but there’s music, soft lighting, and candles burning, there’s a good chance they have romantic feelings for you. But what about the person who cancels plans with other people so they can spend time with you, but never tell you? You don’t know that they’ve sacrificed something for you, and you may not realize how deeply in love with you they may be.
If your partner brings you flowers all the time, how do you know that the last bouquet was special and was telling you how much they adore you? You probably wouldn't know, but if they booked the two of you a romantic vacation, you’d have a pretty clear idea their love went beyond words.
Sometimes a sweeping declaration of love isn’t the big movie gesture, but something small is special to just the two of you.
ARIES (March 21 - April 19)
Aries are passionate, and show their love energetically and with all their heart. They'll interject so much fun and adventure into your life that it will feel as if you're on a rollercoaster.
They're never boring, are spontaneous, and will surprise you often with tokens of their love. You'll find yourself smiling all the time and wondering if you were living a half-life before them because they make your life so much better.
TAURUS (April 20 - May 20)
Taurus are thoughtful and charming, and they have an intuitive sense to give you what you need, when you need it. They're also very sensual so they'll express their feelings with all their senses.
When you are exhausted after a long day at work, a Taurus will cook you a fabulous dinner, bring you flowers, massage you (wherever you need it), and cater to your every desire. Don't expect your Taurus to express themselves with words; they're much more comfortable showing their love with their actions.
GEMINI (May 21 - June 20)
A Gemini will sweep you off your feet by being very affectionate — not just when you're alone but all the time. They will touch, kiss, and squeeze you.
Geminis will be entirely focused on you, especially when you're talking, and they'll get you to share pieces of yourself that you never share with anyone. When they say romantic things to you, they'll mean every word, and when they are funny, they'll make you laugh harder than anyone else.
CANCER (June 21 - July 22)
A Cancer will bombard you with love. They'll be there whenever you need to vent and they'll listen to you without judgment. Cancers tend to be homebodies, so they'll invite you over for dinner and somehow know all your favorites from what you drink to the organic produce you favor.
They are creative and will do unexpected things like surprise and charm you. You'll feel safe and protected with a Cancer.
LEO (July 23 - August 22)
It's hard to miss when a Leo is expressing their love for they're all about the big, bold, grand gestures. It might seem outrageous when they propose at a basketball game, but that's just how Leos are.
They'll flatter and praise you, and make feel supported and cared for. They'll encourage you to live your best life, preferably with them. They have a ton of energy and have no problem expending it on showing how much they love you.
VIRGO (August 23 - September 22)
Virgos sweep you off your feet by their belief in you to succeed. Things that you've procrastinated or felt stuck on, Virgo will encourage you to complete.
They won't allow you to be complacent, and they'll inspire you to aim higher and set bigger goals. Virgo will do the opposite of ghosting, for they'll make sure to keep in touch with regular texts throughout the day, asking how things are going and motivating you to go for the things you want most.
LIBRA (September 23 - October 22)
Libras are charming, elegant, and easy to talk to, and while they can be flirty, once they've committed to someone, they are faithful. The thing about Libras is that they really want to be in a relationship, so once they've found their person, they tend to move quickly.
Don't be scared off — Libra isn't trying to con you, they just don't want to waste valuable time that you could spend together. They will take the lead on planning dates and making sure you know that you're the only one for them.
SCORPIO (October 23 - November 21)
Scorpios are super-passionate so you might think they wouldn't be able to control themselves and would tell you all their feelings, but that's not the case. Scorpios have a natural ability to play games, and when they're in love, they play hard to get.
It could be because if they open their heart to someone and get rejected, the heartbreak will tear them apart, so they play these games to make sure you feel the same way they do.
SAGITTARIUS (November 22 - December 21)
A Sagittarius will sweep you off your feet by planning a trip for the two of you. It might be a romantic getaway or it could be something more adventurous like staying in a glass igloo in the Finnish wilderness staring at the Northern lights.
The fact that they want to travel with you is huge as they enjoy going to new places on their own, and they'll enjoy taking the opportunity to show you how adept a traveler they are.
CAPRICORN (December 22 - January 19)
A Capricorn will sweep you off your feet by showing you how wise, cautious, fun and sexy they are. Yes, Capricorns tend to work too much and too hard, but they're able to use those qualities to demonstrate what a loyal partner they are.
But don't count them out on doing something so captivating that it wins your heart, because there are many layers to a Capricorn and they have a silly and hot side to them.
AQUARIUS (January 20 - February 18)
An Aquarius may not go all emotional on you, but they show their love in other ways. They will keep you guessing and intrigued by their actions. They will be very attentive when they're with you but then they won't text you back.
They're somewhat cautious where their heart is concerned. If they could invent something that would guarantee that you'd never hurt them or leave them, they would. However, since there's no technology that does that, Aquarius will continue to integrate themselves in your life so that you rely on them and are unable to picture your life without them in it.
PISCES (February 19 - March 20)
Pisces are extremely romantic and they'd love to be swept off their feet, so they do what they'd like in return. They shower you with love, they make big romantic gestures, and they write songs/poetry that express their feelings.
Pisces are already selfless and caring so they just amp up their thoughtfulness and kindness. They may overwhelm you with their love, but know that it comes from a sincere place and that they'd do anything to make you happy.
