What You're In Complete Denial Over, Based On Your Zodiac Sign

getty You can be in denial about something all you want, but that doesn't mean it’s not true or that it’s going to disappear. Everybody has some personality characteristic, trait, or behavior they try to avoid thinking about or even recognizing. However, as much as we may try to hide it from ourselves or others, there are always tells that give it away.
For instance, using astrology and the zodiac signs can reveal many things about you without your participation. In particular, what are you in complete denial over?
While not everybody is exactly alike, the zodiac signs do tend to share some of the same behaviors and the same way of reacting to certain things. They share similar sensibilities and reactions, so it can be interesting to investigate these personality traits and see if they apply.
If people born under your sign tend to be withdrawn and shy, does that mean you must be that way too? Not necessarily. You may find that you have moments of shyness but that you’re outgoing and social. Maybe you’re not shy, but you don’t give your affection easily and it takes time for you to build trust.
It can be comforting to know that your reactions aren’t bizarre but that other people of your sign react the same way. If you’re in denial about something, the best thing you can do is bring it out into the daylight, acknowledge it, and take away its power to affect your life.
ARIES (March 21 - April 19)
Aries are in denial of the fact that they're not super-human and that there are only 24 hours in a day. Aries are constantly doing things and rarely slow down, which means they tend to not get enough sleep and still beat themselves up for not completing everything on their to-do list.
They need to come to terms that they're already doing more than most people and that they need to slow down sometimes and take a break.
TAURUS (April 20 - May 20)
Taurus are in denial about the rare occasions when they've made a bad decision or were wrong about something. If there's clear evidence that Taurus made a mistake or made the wrong choice, they will ignore it.
They don't like it when other people point out that they're not always correct, but worst of all is when they know in their heart that they were wrong. It doesn't matter if it's obvious that an error was made on Taurus' part, because they won't acknowledge it.
GEMINI (May 21 - June 20)
Geminis are in complete denial over having short attention spans and that they get bored easily. They like to believe they can find something interesting about anybody or any situation, but the truth is, they can't.
Sometimes, no matter how much they try to stay engaged, they get tired and start searching for something more exciting or vibrant than whatever it is they're doing at the time.
CANCER (June 21 - July 22)
Cancers are in complete denial that they prefer to stay home. They tend to act like it's a big surprise when they decide that on New Year's Eve they're going to spend at home.
It's not a shocker that Cancer prefers the comfort of home, with the people that they love, rather than going somewhere that's loud and flashy with a bunch of strangers. They like to go out on occasion but they're not the party animals they like to think they are.
LEO (July 23 - August 22)
Leos are in complete denial about how competitive they are. It can be the silliest thing like a chili cook-off among friends, and if Leo doesn't win, they're extremely put out.
They like to think that they're bigger people and don't get entangled in petty competitions, but they do. Leos want to be the winner at all things, and when they're not, they can be big babies about it... not that they'd ever admit it out loud.
VIRGO (August 23 - September 22)
Virgos are in complete denial about how dependent they are on their computers and research. If a Virgo doesn't have an answer to a question, they know how to find out the answer. They're very comfortable using a computer, going to the library, and talking to experts.
However, if they don't have those things, Virgos feel a little lost. They don't like not knowing all the answers, and it can affect the way they feel about themselves. If they're going unplugged, they better at least have access to some reference books.
LIBRA (September 23 - October 22)
Libras are in complete denial that they have an intense need to be liked. They don't understand it when their affection isn't returned. Libras will go on a full campaign just trying to get someone to like them.
They can't fathom why somebody would choose not to spend time with them, so they will just try to ignore the whole thing and act as if they're indifferent about whether the person likes them or not. But they care so much that it will eat away at their self-esteem.
SCORPIO (October 23 - November 21)
Scorpios are in denial about how manipulative they can be. If someone doesn't respond to something Scorpio has done in the way that Scorpio wants, they will try to manipulate the person into doing or reacting in a way that works.
Scorpios tend not to be the type of person who will back off and move on. This zodiac sign wants what they want, and they'll do what they need to get it, even if it means trying to control another person's behavior.
SAGITTARIUS (November 22 - December 21)
Sagittarians are in complete denial at how high-maintenance they really are. They like to believe that they're easy-going and trouble-free, but in actuality, they have a long list of demands.
For a sign that loves to travel as much as they do and who loves new experiences and people, they have incredibly tough standards and they're extremely rigid about them. If a Sagittarius wants something a certain way, they'll demand that they get it, even if their request is unreasonable or it will adversely affect someone else.
CAPRICORN (December 22 - January 19)
Capricorns are in denial over sometimes needing help. They hate asking for help so much that they'll do anything not to have to depend on someone else's assistance. Asking for help doesn't make one unqualified or weak; in fact, it's just the opposite.
Asking for help when you need it can sometimes be the most intelligent and efficient action you can take. Capricorn would rather take on too much and feel overwhelmed than have someone lend them a hand.
AQUARIUS (January 20 - February 18)
Aquarians tend to be denial about not having much empathy for others. That's not to say that they don't feel compassion or they're not sorry when they're hurt or angered someone — that's not empathy. Empathy is being able to see things clearly from someone else's point of view and Aquarius can't do that.
They only see things from their own perspective and they sometimes will close themselves off emotionally so they can't feel what the other person is feeling. Not having empathy doesn't make you a bad person, though.
PISCES (February 19 - March 20)
Pisces are in denial about the fact that they're often terrible judges of character. This may be because of how generous and selfless they tend to be. They always give second chances to people, even when they don't deserve them, and Pisces have the tendency to believe the best in people, even when they've been shown the opposite.
Pisces are very forgiving, sometimes to the extreme, which can be emotionally dangerous for them when that forgiveness makes them have poor judgment and they allow dangerous people into their lives.
