getty Well this should be fun, trying to calculate the contradictory zodiac signs. It would seem likely that our twin-like signs in astrology would be candidates, as well as any sign whose icon might imply balance or poise, like Libra (scales) or Aquarius (water bearer).
Contradiction is the opposition of two ideas. To be contradictory, you would have to say one thing and do another, or you could be rebellious in action, or you could deviate from the path you believe others expect you to walk.
Being known as a contradictory person would label you as unreliable as well. Sometimes, being contradictory is immature, as it seems to demand attention and is often times continued on as a way of being bratty or purposefully dramatic.
It's good to be analytical, and it's good to see things from all angles. What's not that great is when we lead people on with our suggestions and commitments, only to disappoint them with our inability to stay committed. It is hard to trust the person who is contradictory. So, who are the 6 most contradictory zodiac signs?
1. GEMINI (May 21 - June 20)
Being contradictory is quintessentially part and parcel of The Twins, within Gemini's make-up. These people are born confused and confuddled, and they will take their sweet time trying to figure out what to do.
If that gives you the impression that they know what they're doing, don't rely on them to share that information any time soon, because chances are it will be a different outcome by then.
2. LIBRA (September 23 - October 22)
The Scales don't always balance out with Libra, and the funnier and more ironic part is that they rarely, if ever, do. Libra can be counted on to change their mind without notice.
They are reliably unreliable when it comes to what you can or cannot depend on with them, and their contradictory behavior can be unnerving, especially in matters of romance.
3. AQUARIUS (January 20 - February 18)
If only they meant well. That's the disappointment — they don't mean well. Aquarius is not only contradictory, they're selfish. This means that no matter how hot and heavy they are for anything, they are also subject to change on a whim.
And their feeling on the matter: Suck it up, buttercup. Aquarius is fickle and unreliable; they will swear they'll do one thing, and they'll do no such thing.
4. PISCES (February 19 - March 10)
Another of the dual-charactered signs, as The Fish, Pisces are too unstable to come through with a promise. They will say anything to appease you, and that sort of appeases them, but they are way too contradictory in nature to uphold any kind of promise or commitment.
Even if that commitment is to paint a room blue. They will say, "Yes, it's blue," as they paint it pink.
5. SAGITTARIUS (November 22 - December 21)
Unlike Aquarius, Sagittarius is well intended, and they are all about being the one who says yes, go go go! Until, of course, it's time to go go go. This sign is so preoccupied with their own thoughts that when it really comes down to it, they'd rather just be alone with their own thoughts than with anyone else.
Being social and having fun always sounds good to a Sag, which is why they agree to going out. Until the moment they must go out. Don't count on seeing your Sag buddy.
6. VIRGO (August 23 - September 22)
If only the world could be as uptight and controlled as Virgo wishes it to be, especially if that world could be run by them as well. Virgo gets it into their minds that things would be better if people just listened to them.
How this brings out their contradictory nature is that when people DO listen to them, they find that they are still misanthropic and nihilistic, so all bets are off on happiness. There's no comfortable place for Virgo, because each scenario shows them new promise for disaster.
