They think that everyone they meet is sketchy.

Cynical people don’t believe that individuals are inherently good and will make choices that benefit their own self-interest. And in astrology, the cynical zodiac signs especially don’t tend to trust the sincerity or intelligence of other people.
The glass is not only half empty for cynical people, and they don’t think anyone is going to fill it without asking them to do it. They can be somewhat pessimistic, self-centered, and skeptical.
What makes someone cynical? Are they born with a sense of cynicism or is that something that’s learned over time? Does one need to come from a family of cynics to be one or is it a personality characteristic that is influenced?
If you always see the dark side of a situation and always prepare for the worst, then you have a cynical point of view. Your humor reflects your outlook on life as you’re fluent in sarcasm. Since you tend to think most people are idiots who are only out for themselves, you don’t share your feelings with others unless you absolutely know they can be trusted.
When people ask you, “Are you okay?” as they seem to do every day, instead of appreciating that they care, you want to put your hand through a wall. Why can’t they just mind their business and let you live your life?
1. CAPRICORN (December 22 - January 19)
It takes a lot for a Capricorn to trust someone, which may be the reason they're so cynical. They tend to believe the worst in someone until they're shown differently.
They tend to be somewhat pessimistic and think that most people are motivated by their own self-interest, and rarely, if ever, do something out of the goodness of their own heart. There are always strings attached as far as Capricorn is concerned.
2. TAURUS (April 20 - May 20)
If Taurus sees another proposal on social media, they're going to scream. It's not that they don't believe that people can be happy, it's just that they're tired of everybody's non-stop happiness being shoved down their throat via Instagram and Facebook.
They don't want to focus on the negative, they just would like a little bit of real human emotion on their feed, not people's practiced and filmed reactions designed to make others jealous of them. Taurus just wants people to express what they're really feeling, not something manufactured for the camera.
3. VIRGO (August 23 - September 22)
Virgos are so cynical it affects the way they see themselves. They can't take a compliment, no matter how sincere it is, and they will brush it off, laugh, and look away. Virgos can make getting a compliment awkward for everyone involved.
When you accept a compliment in the spirit it was given, it doesn't mean that you're full of yourself, just confident enough to get a compliment and not be suspicious of the person who is giving it. Sometimes a compliment is just that, not a way to manipulate you.
4. PISCES (February 19 - March 20)
No one really likes when someone tells them to smile, but for Pisces, it's even more annoying. Pisces has no problem processing their feelings and if they're happy and they feel like it, they'll smile.
It's nobody's business if they smile or not, and they're certainly not going to do it because someone tells them to. Being told to smile is a sure way to turn a smile upside down into a grimacing frown.
5. SCORPIO (October 23 - November 21)
Scorpios believe that people lie all the time and that most of what they say is a load of crap. Scorpios are so cynical that they may be going into a conversation already convinced that no matter what comes out of the other person's mouth, it's going to be a bunch of lies.
It's difficult to bond when you can't believe that what someone is saying is the truth.
