Life certainly knows how to take its toll on us, and depending on our personal constitution, we can either roll with those punches and become better than we once were for it, or we can suffer those blows and end up very, very unhappy for our choices.
If perception is everything — and it is — then how we translate the rougher times of our lives is crucial. Will we learn from our mistakes? Or, will we keep doing the same thing again and again, hoping some kind of miraculous change will occur? For the bitter zodiac signs, the latter is true, and they can't blame astrology or even their horoscope for their attitude.
When people hold on to pain — heartbreak, rejection, poverty consciousness, jealousy — what happens is that they start to degrade themselves somewhat. They unconsciously prevent themselves from moving forward, and the act of staying in one place while allowing the poison of that moment to permeate the soul is what causes terrible bitterness in a human being.
Interesting how the word bitter is the opposite of the word sweet. Where life can be quite sweet for some, depending on one's outlook and attitude, life can also be quite bitter and offensive for the person who cannot change and must always see the rotten side of things.
This "rotten vision" is like a disease; once you start seeing everything as garbage, it all goes down hill. Perception is everything, and some cannot tweak their vision toward the good.
And some of us are naturally bitter people. Astrology gives us six bitter zodiac signs in particular that we might say aren't so sweet.
1. SCORPIO (October 23 - November 21)
Scorpio is bitter because being bitter puts them in their element of hate. They relish moments of feeling bitter because they like the feeling of negative emotion coursing through their veins. Scorpio secretly wishes to be a sweet and kind person, but because that's impossible, they are bitter and hateful instead... and that is their calling card.
2. VIRGO (August 23 - September 22)
There is no sign that displays as much bitterness as Virgo, and that is because nothing satisfies them, ever. When you are never satisfied, and everyone you know disappoints you to the point of your own personal disgust, then all you can do is carry around an intense judgmental bitterness that disallows you from every feeling happy.
3. AQUARIUS (January 20 - February 18)
Aquarius never gets what they want. Oh, they do try, but they are just such natural failures at everything they do that they can't help but feel bitter about even the littlest things. Because Aquarians are some of the most jealous folks out there, that feeling of not having enough accompanies them at every step, leaving them bitter and completely uninterested in anything positive.
4. ARIES (March 21 - April 19)
The thing with Aries is that they are basically very happy people. The only real problem here is that in order to be happy, they need everyone to agree with them 100 percent of the time, and when that doesn't happen, they not only can't comprehend it, it makes them bitter.
How did they lose that control? How did they not win the crowd? Instead of analyzing what went wrong, they'd rather just walk away, bitter and disgusted.
5. CAPRICORN (December 22 - January 19)
Basically, Capricorn comes into the world wanting to be someone else, and after spending a short time NOT being someone other than their own selves, they start hating their existence. When you seethe in jealousy over almost everything there is, when all you see is what you lack, what you don't have, what you can't have, then you're a typical Capricorn, which means you're top of the line "bitter."
6. LIBRA (September 23 - October 22)
Libran will forever try to balance things out, and because things take time to balance out, Libra gets tired, frustrated and eventually bitter over results they cannot control.
Libra is quick to judge — they weigh everything for what it's worth to them, and unfortunately, that kind of judgmental nature often times serves them the wrong way. When they can't even things out, they resent the heck of it, which causes them to be incredible examples of bitterness and intolerance.
