zodiac signs that make bad decisions

Do you generally make good or bad decisions? Some people just seem to have a talent for making terrible decisions. If the idea of making a bad decision is completely foreign to you, you may wonder what it is about certain people that causes them to make terrible decisions all the time.

Though we can rely on our horoscope to give us the answers we need to the questions we have, astrology can provide us with a better idea when it comes to our decision-making, specifically the zodiac signs who make bad decisions. Because not every choice you make is a good one.

What influences someone to repeatedly make bad decisions?

1. They don’t care what the consequences are.

2. They have that extra drink, eat too much sugar, or cheat on their partner. They swear they’re not going to make a regular thing out of it, but more often than not, once really means all the time.

3. They say they'll do it later. Putting something off tomorrow that you need to do today rarely works out well. You start to miss deadlines, rack up fees and fines, and taxes multiply in severity.

4. They'll get a great story out of it. When someone has a story of something that went wrong, they can top it. It gets to the point where their family and friends are scared to ask about what’s happening in their life. There's such a pattern of poor decisions that it's exhausting for other people to have to witness or hear about it.

5. They think others know better. You’d rather get lost in an iffy neighborhood than hit the tourist spots when you’re traveling. It shouldn't be that difficult to fix a bathroom sink, so why pay a plumber when you can do better?

If something seems okay on the surface, it probably is. Bad decision-makers take things at face value and rarely dig any deeper. It's part laziness and part hubris that gives the unearned confidence to trust their instincts rather than do some investigative work.

Are you one of the zodiac signs that make bad decisions? Find your sign below to find out!

1. Sagittarius (November 22 - December 21)

Sagittarians like to be spontaneous and believe that too much planning can take the fun out something. They tend to make decisions quickly, especially when traveling because they don't want to miss anything. The problem is if they did a little research, they might be able to see things they don't even know exist.

Because they're so open, they tend to trust people a little easily and that can result in some bad decisions. Sagittarius individuals can be a little over-confident which can also result in poor choices.

2. Capricorn (December 22 - January 19)

You'd think that a sign that was so practical, reliable, and hard-working would always make the best decisions, but that's not so. Capricorns know that people expect them to be cautious and careful, and sometimes they just want to break character and do something impulsive and unplanned, which is exactly when they get into bad-decision-territory.

Much of the time, Capricorn's bad-decision making has something to do with sex. They have a wild side, and when sex is involved, they're more likely to break loose and do something completely unexpected like a casual hookup. One thing about Capricorns: they know when they've made a bad decision and they'll mostly regret making it.

3. Aries (March 21 - April 19)

It might be out-of-character for a Capricorn to be impulsive, but for Aries individuals, being impulsive is a major part of their personality. They also are extremely impatient. Put impatience together with a talent for risk-taking and spontaneity, and you've got a recipe for consistent bad decision-making.

Aries don't take the time to consider what the results may be after they've made a decision. They tend not to check facts or gather information. They don't do their due diligence; they just do what they want to do, when they want to do it. When an Aries wants instant gratification, they rarely take the time to consider what might go wrong.

4. Gemini (May 21 - June 20)

Since Gemini is the sign of the twins and is known for constantly being of two minds, decision-making tends to be challenging for them. They don't enjoy agonizing over a decision — it's boring, so they tend to make half-assed and poorly informed decisions just so they can move on to something fun and/or more interesting.

Geminis tend not to pay attention to those details that can help with determining if a decision is a wise one. The truth is Geminis change their minds a lot, and one decision can multiply into several of them until they decide on whatever seems easiest.

5. Pisces (February 19 - March 20)

There are times when a Pisces simply doesn't want to deal with something and will make a hasty and poor decision so it will be off their plate, or they'll not deal with it at all and hope it evaporates.

Pisces individuals can sometimes be like the Price is Right contestants who look to the audience for guidance: they wait to make a decision until they can get the input of someone else, as if that will take away some of the burden of a bad decision.

6. Cancer (June 21 - July 22)

If a Cancer individual is forced to make a decision in the heat of the moment, their emotions will cloud their decision-making ability. It's extremely difficult to be rational when anybody is upset, but it's especially challenging for a Cancer.

Their emotional state overwhelms their rational mind. In addition, Cancers tend to not see the big picture but focus instead on what happened before and expect the consequences to be the same. Learn from the past but don't count on it to be your only guide.
