The suspect has not been named.

A 15-year-old boy has been accused of stabbing a Makayla Grote, age 19, to death in Colorado — and police say that wasn't the only murder he planned to commit that day.

The suspect, who's not being named because of his age, knocked on Makayla Grote's door around 11 a.m. Nov. 18. It was early Saturday morning, and he said he needed a jump for his car.

It's not known at this time what Grote said or if she assisted him, but he returned to her home around 6 p.m. that same night and stabbed her in the head and chest with a hunting knife when she answered the front door.

He then chased Grote's younger sister through the home until she ran into a bedroom and locked the door. When he was unable to get inside, he left. Police found the young suspect hiding in his parents' car, along with some evidence that suggested he had more potential victims on his mind.

According to police, the teen had a "kill list" on him. At the time of his arrest, he was about mile away from the third person on his list, which police discovered in his bedroom.

Interestingly enough, Grote's name wasn't on the kill list. Her 18-year-old sister's name was on the list — and she was at home during the time of the murder — but the suspect specified on the list that he was willing to kill anyone at the home.

Police reportedly found multiple weapons at the teen's home, including Molotov cocktails.

The teen had previously been arrested for assaulting his grandfather, though the details of that crime are unknown at this time, as well as how many people were named on that kill list. Officials at Jefferson County Public School, where it's believed the suspect attended, sent a letter assuring student safety after the suspect started threatening other students.

"There has been an incident of a former GMHS student making threats towards current GMHS students. Students reported this incident to school administration and local law enforcement. Both Jeffco Public Schools security staff and local law enforcement quickly intervened and the student that made the threats is currently detained."

"Because we want to protect student privacy, we cannot share any details about the incident. However, I want to assure you we are aware and that we are taking action. "

The teen will be back in court this week, and prosecutors are deciding whether or not to charge him as an adult.  Grote's family has set up a GoFundMe page to establish the Makayla Grote Memorial Fund. Over $11,000 of their $15,000 goal has been raised so far.
