Sometimes it's fun to look back on our lives as if it was a story that happened to someone else. Did you expect a relationship to be a certain way but then it turned out to be completely different than what you imagined? Was it better or worse than what you thought it would be like? Did you see the ending coming or was it a total surprise?
Many times, a relationship is very different when it ends than when it began. The people involved in the relationship change, forcing the relationship itself to change.
When we first begin a relationship, we don't know the other person that well and it's fun to discover all we can about them. Of course, there some things we may never learn about our significant others, and vice versa. If our partners knew every single thing about us, it would be boring and there would be no thrill of discovery.
However, nobody likes to be blindsided. If your partner has a history of cheating or lying, you'd probably want to know that at the start so if those behaviors presented themselves, you'd have made a rational decision beforehand on how to handle it.
We don't want to be private investigators on our loved ones, but we need to be aware of their weaknesses and failures as well as their positive personality traits and habits. If your partner has to sleep in a cold room with the television blaring, and you need it silent and warm, one of you is going to have to compromise and adjust. This is the kind of thing you need to know before you say "I do."
Most of the time we don't have access to other people's exes and we can't ask them what it was like to be in a relationship with them. Besides, everyone's experience is different.

Aries (March 21 - April 19)

When you're in love with an Aries, don't expect there to be a lot of downtime as they constantly like to be doing things and challenging themselves. They like to get their way, and sometimes this manifests in negative ways, such as him getting frustrated if he thinks you're taking too long to get ready or you wanting to fully plan something out. Aries individuals can be short-tempered but will cool off quickly if you can just ride it out.

Taurus (April 20 - May 20)

Congratulations! It probably took you awhile to fully hook the Taurus man, but now that you have him, he'll be yours for life, whether or not that's what you really want. Life with Taurus is stable and predictable as he'll like to eat at the same restaurant, go to the same theaters and pretty much do the same thing in bed every time. Life with a Taurus is predictable and comfortable, but one without compromise because of Taurus' stubbornness.

Gemini (May 21 - June 20)

Loving a Gemini man is equal parts fantastic and frustrating. Because he's such a great communicator he'll fascinate you with fun stories, hilarious jokes, and creative wild scenarios in bed. Listening better be one of your major talents because he's a talker.
Geminis are best when they have two of everything, so don't be surprised if he's polyamorous. If you're OK with sharing him, loving him will be wonderful and exciting; if not, be ready to tear your hair out when he continuously cheats on you.

Cancer (June 21 - July 22)

When you love a Cancer, you love a man with warmth, sincerity, and one who cares deeply about you. In fact, if you've got any kind of daddy issues, Cancer is your man as they want nothing more than to take care of you and protect you.
Although Cancers can be controlling and needy, he'll want to make sure that you're taken care of in every way. It isn't all sunshine and flowers for a Cancer, and they have a tendency to be moody and ultra-sensitive. Hopefully, being able to cheer him up is part of your skill set.

Leo (July 23 - August 22)

It's difficult to not love a Leo as they're charismatic, charming, and funny. Leos are spectacular and always have their pick of partners, so you need to make sure your union continues to be passionate, romantic, and creative.
While he'll spoil you rotten, he'll demand loyalty from you in exchange. If he feels that he's not getting enough attention, he may turn to another, so make sure he's always the center of your universe.
Virgo (August 23 - September 22)

Virgos may not be the easiest of the signs to love because of their perfectionism and highly critical nature, but they have a bounty of energy, are flexible, and amazingly intelligent. Virgos get things done. Virgos want to be the best at everything and this can definitely work in your favor as he'll work tirelessly to be the kind of person you need, in and out of the bedroom.
He's very productive so you can be sure everything on your to-do list will get done. Just try not to take his criticism too personally, because the truth is he's ultimately the hardest on himself.

Libra (September 23 - October 22)

If you're in love with a Libra, chances are you're spending a lot of time together as they have a tendency to be a bit clingy. They hate unnecessary confrontations, so they'd rather not have an argument than get something off their chests.
The problem is that when they're doing everything they can to make sure your relationship is happy, they're actually making it very unbalanced, and ultimately, that's not what Libra wants. You want to encourage your Libra man to be honest with you even if it might hurt. It will hurt less if it's dealt with immediately rather than if it's left to fester with resentment and negativity.

Scorpio (October 23 - November 21)

To love a Scorpio man, you need to be very comfortable with your own sexuality and passionate nature as he'll be the most intense man you'll ever meet. Yes, he gets jealous, possessive, and even a little obsessive (and that's while you're in a relationship with him). He wants to know every single thing about you, and yet he's reluctant to share everything with you.
You've never felt this degree of emotion with anyone else before and it's unlikely that you ever will again. If you can handle his burning desire, then this relationship has the possibility of transcending everything you thought you knew about becoming one with another person.

Sagittarius (November 22 - December 21)

To love a Sagittarius is to love the wind and be entirely open to a very loose, ever-changing relationship. Sagittarius men are very independent (read: hate to be tied down) and are constantly in search of new stimulation (read: new women and new places).
The good thing is that while he values his freedom, he wants to go with you on exotic vacations, take you to museums and cultural events, and/or talk to you all night on every subject. He doesn't want to be boxed in. But on the flip side, he doesn't box you in either, so you both can do what you like and come together at certain times.

Capricorn (December 22 - January 19)

Capricorn men are driven, and being in love with one may make you feel like you come second to his career. And you probably do. The good news is that if he isn't successful already, the Capricorn man will be eventually, and you'll have a life partner who achieves greatness.
You just have to be patient when he chooses work over something fun, and know that he's dependable, trustworthy, and will stick with you through the good times and the bad.

Aquarius (January 20 - February 18)

If you're in love with an Aquarius, you know how unpredictable they are and how it's impossible to figure them out completely. They're not that comfortable with emotions, so if you have a tendency to want to discuss every little feeling, you'd probably do better with a Cancer.
The good thing about being involved with an Aquarius is that they accept you for who you are, and any flaws and quirks are seen as intriguing characteristics. Aquarius men are often working for humanitarian causes and it can be distressing if it feels as if he's putting everybody else's needs above yours. But know that he really cares about you; he's just not that comfortable showing it.

Pisces (February 19 - March 20)

It's pretty easy to fall in love with a Pisces man as they're sweet, spiritual, and kind. You two connect on an emotional level and he lives to please you. However, the Pisces man has a side to him which can be too sensitive, so if you say or do something that offends him, he's going to get very hurt by it, and it will be more than difficult to get him to forgive you.
It can be challenging to deal with him when he gets defensive and retreats into his inner world, but have patience; if he truly loves you back, he'll heal and be back to trusting you again.
