Many men compete for the "Human Ken Doll" title by getting numerous surgeries. First, there was Justin Jedlica, who had 150 surgeries at the young age of 18. Then, there was Mauricio Galdi, who began receiving plastic surgery at just 17 years old.

But who is Rodrigo Alves AKA 'The Human Ken Doll'?

Sometimes known as Roddy Doll, the Brazilian-British personality has had dozens of plastic surgeries.

As of January 2018, Alves had spent over $500,000 on 103 surgeries, including liposuction, gel filler injected into shoulders, biceps, and triceps, hair implants, facelifts, tinted contact lenses, and multiple rhinoplasties.

After years of surgeries, Alves has finally come out as transgender, saying, “I’m known as Ken but inside I've always felt like Barbie.” She now prefers the “she” and “her” pronouns.

In an appearance on the British show This Morning, Alves revealed how she always wanted to be a woman, telling the hosts, “I should have seen a psychologist but instead I self-medicated with hormones and then I was at an event having drinks and the next thing I knew I was in the hospital. I started self-medicating myself which is very wrong. So anyone at home who has been going through gender dysphoric disorder don’t self-medicate, go see a doctor.”

For three months, Alves has been living behind closed doors and also revealed that she will undergo gender reassignment surgery to receive breast implants and have her penis removed.

Roddy, as she prefers to be called, admitted she suffers from gender dysphoria and has been receiving treatment.

But she also regrets “having the fake six-pack and arms. I do wish I had the strength in those days to see a psychiatrist and people help me in that journey. I don’t have a shadow of a doubt about being a woman. I still have more plastic surgeries to do, I will have my breasts enlarged, voice surgery so I have a more female voice, and in a year I will have my gender reassignment surgery.”

Opening up to the hosts, Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield, Roddy apologized for telling lies the last few years about her reasons for wanting surgery.

She said, “This is the real me. I’m sorry I told lies over the years of seven years being interviewed by you both. You said, ‘Roddy why did you remove four ribs?’ I said it was to fit my blazers, but it was because I was transitioning.”

During the interview, Alves also recounted her childhood and how she knew from a young age that she was not a boy. She would dress up in her mother’s clothing and tended to play with more feminine toys. Alves was also sexually abused at school but couldn’t fight back because she was 'feminine and weak.'”

But now, she’s excited for her gender reassignment surgery, as well as a new name that she is currently keeping secret. And it wasn’t until 2018, while she was doing a photoshoot in New York, that she realized she wanted to officially transition.

Previously, she had been open about gender identity and fluidity, commenting, “People should be able to express themselves in ways that reject labels and gender stereotypes. I'm a huge supporter of gender equality and the new trend of gender-fluid. I regard myself as a gender-fluid person.”
