The ONLY New Year's Resolution You Need To Make This Year

Take a look back at the resolutions you made last year. How did those go? How do most of your New Year's resolutions go every year?

If you’re like most people around the world, you start the year off strong and somewhere around the middle of February you go RIGHT back to your old habits or lose interest. This is definitely the case for people trying to get out there and date.

Believe it or not, the first Sunday of every year is the highest trafficked time for online dating.

But typically, people remain active until Valentines Day ... and if they haven’t found someone by then, they lose interest. They resolved to find love at the top of the year and only give themselves 6 weeks to do it! How ridiculous is that?!

That’s why this year I only have ONE resolution for you to make this year: Stay in action.

No matter what you’re trying to accomplish in your life and in love, you have to stay in action.

We live in a world where there’s access to so much information. Google, WebMD, advice blogs (just like this one) are giving you information and solutions. We are all so self-aware ... but what are we doing about our challenges? What are we doing with that knowledge?

Being self-aware won’t resolve your communication issues, but taking action will.

The problem with staying in action, though, is that most of us are dealing with negative chatter in our minds that are keeping us from taking that action and achieving our resolutions.

Something deep down inside of you is telling you that you don’t deserve the results of that action, and so you never move forward. You get started on resolutions or new goals and you don’t accomplish what you set out to do because you’re stuck in a cycle. 

What you want and what you believe you can have are not aligned — and it’s causing a tug of war in your life.

Ask yourself: What am I committed to having in my life? What actions are necessary to achieve this goal?

Get the help you need to rid yourself of the negative thoughts and emotions that are getting in the way of you taking action, and keep moving forward, because when you stay in action you are bound to experience one of two things: the result you wanted or a lesson to help you achieve it the next try.
