getty Are you someone who is grateful for mistakes because you learn from them, or do you do everything you can to avoid making them? You might be a little of both, trying to avoid making mistakes, but when you do make one, you don’t let it derail you.
If we add astrology to the mix, it's clear that the zodiac signs who hate making mistakes have certain personality traits.
These individuals might have some perfectionist tendencies, and making a mistake points out how impossible it is to be perfect. They may also feel that by making a mistake, they’re only pointing out their lack of ability and knowledge.
Some people don’t like making mistakes because they don’t want a negative reaction from others. Not all mistakes are reversible, and sometimes the consequences for making one are out of your hands.
On the other hand, if you do the prep work, have a pretty good sense of what you should be doing, and you calculate the risk, a mistake might not hit you as hard. Things happen that aren’t in our control and you just have to chalk up a mistake as an experience.
Try to learn from mistakes and don't make the same errors again. If you aren’t deliberately trying to screw things up for others, mistakes can be forgiven.
1. VIRGO (August 23 - September 22)
Virgos tend to be overcritical, but the person they're most critical of is themselves. They have high standards and when their expectations aren't met, Virgo can become quite upset with themselves.
Making a mistake makes them feel as if they don't know what they're doing. Virgo has a real problem with people who are inept and incapable. They put things into place to ensure that when they do something, it comes out as it's supposed to; when they don't, Virgo feels responsible and like a fraud.
2. LEO (July 23 - August 22)
Leos are extremely accomplished and charismatic. People tend to not only look up to them, but emulate them as well. When Leo makes a mistake, they feel they're not only letting themselves down but other people too.
One mistake could cost them the respect and admiration they desire, or at least that's what Leo fears. They know they're not perfect, but that doesn't mean they shouldn't strive for excellence. Anything that Leo can do to avoid failing, they will do it.
3. CAPRICORN (December 22 - January 19)
Capricorns do the work and try not to mess up, especially at their job. But things happen and no matter how proficient and competent Capricorn is, they can make a mistake.
Capricorns do try to learn from their mistakes, but they hate being in that position. They know they're only human, but failing doesn't help when you're after more responsibility or a promotion. It's better to try to do things right the first time if you can.
4. LIBRA (September 23 - October 22)
Libras hate feeling judged, and that's what they fear happens when they make a mistake or bad decision. Making errors can bring on trouble, getting yelled at, or just shaking people's faith in you. Libras want everybody to be happy and satisfied with their performance, whether it's at work or just in daily life.
When Libra sees things from someone else's perspective, they feel even worse for making mistakes and messing up. There are always repercussions to making a mistake, and that just prolongs the agony for Libra.
5. ARIES (March 21 - April 19)
Aries individuals are competitive and they play to win. When they may mistake in competition or in life, it makes them feel like a failure, which they have a hard time dealing with. Aries knows that mistakes are unavoidable, but that doesn't lessen the sting.
Aries may want to avoid making mistakes, but they don't want to miss out on anything either, so they'll gamble that nothing will go wrong. If mistakes are made, Aries will deal with them afterward.
6. SCORPIO (October 23 - November 21)
Scorpio would rather learn from other people's mistakes than make any of their own. No matter how prepared they are, things happen that are out of their control. They are determined, focused, and try to do everything right the first time.
When they make a mistake or miscalculation, it may take them a moment to get back on task, but they won't stop until the mistake is corrected. No one likes to feel like their mistake made everything go wrong, and that's how responsible Scorpio feels when they've made an error.
