When you romanticize your toxic relationship instead of seeing them in their true light, you only look at their positive traits. And because astrology is a guide for our personalities, there are some zodiac signs who are more likely to romanticize their partners, depending on their past relationships and the ones they witnessed growing up.
Romanticizing is different than looking at the positive side of someone’s personality; it’s twisting things around and fictionalizing traits and behaviors. It’s being blind to red flags and warning signs because you’re scared about what might happen if you see things clearly.
But people on the outside aren't fooled by the facade. Your friends and family will eventually see the truth because if your partner is horrible, no matter how you may try and hide it, it’s obvious to them.
1. PISCES (February 19 - March 20)
Pisces are extremely kind people and tend to see the best in others, even when it's not there. They are romantic by nature, so if things aren't as perfect as they can be, Pisces will embellish the details in their own imagination.
There's a part of this zodiac sign who wants to be in a relationship so desperately, they'll overlook any flaws, imperfections, and failings. Love can distort the way they see their partners.
2. CAPRICORN (December 22 - January 19)
Capricorn doesn't go into relationships lightly, so when they're in a relationship with someone, that person has been vetted. Capricorn would hate to believe they went through all that trouble only to find out they were wrong.
They will romanticize their partner in hopes they'll get it together and change. The trouble is, more often than not, their partner will feel like they can do anything, and Capricorn will accept it... up to a point.
3. LIBRA (September 23 - October 22)
If Libra's partner is terrible, it's going to be hard for them to call it out. They will try to make things work, even if it means not seeing their partner for who they really are.
Libra hates unnecessary confrontation, and having an honest talk has the possibility of turning into one, meaning Libra will recreate their partner in their mind of how they want them to be. When they talk about their partner to people, it will be as if their partner is a fictionalized version of themselves.
4. CANCER (June 21 - July 22)
Cancers don't give up easily on people and will stay with their toxic partner, trying to see them in a different and better light. This zodiac sign can be possessive, and they don't want to look like a fool, so they will romanticize their partners to themselves and the people in their lives.
If they say their partner is amazing enough, perhaps over time they'll become that way. Cancers also tend to romanticize their exes even more, and the longer the time since they were together, the more incredible their ex becomes.
5. SAGITTARIUS (November 22 - December 21)
Sagittarians are extremely optimistic, so if their partner is horrible now, what's to say they won't be fantastic in the future? If Sagittarius treats their partner like they're great and talks about them as if they were the best person they've ever met, maybe their partner will become that person.
This zodiac sign has large hearts, and they will love even if the object of their affection doesn't deserve it. Sagittarius believes they can change their partner, even if everything indicates otherwise.
