getty In my time, I have known people who plan for everything, and those who fly by the seat of their pants. Some people stick with spontaneity while others believe in total preparedness. I, myself, split the difference, but I certainly do know the value of being prepared and having foresight.
Thinking ahead, seeking insight, assuming nothing — this is foresight. Being able to know what's to come, not as a psychic might, but more along the lines of being intuitive and practical about something that's yet to happen? That is foresight.
Not everyone is prone to this, but for those of us who rank on this particular spectrum, we use this mental tool to make sure life goes smoothly for us. Considering astrology, who are the zodiac signs with foresight?
It isn't so much a gift as it is a survival tool; a way of predicting what's to come so that one can act accordingly. Foresight allows us to prepare intelligently, as opposed to winging it, and possibly getting ourselves into trouble due to hasty and spontaneous actions.
1. LEO (July 23 - August 22)
Leo is a control freak in all the best ways, if that's even possible. How this works for Leo is in their need to make sure everything is okay, and everything will be okay.
Leo wants the applause and the attention, and they fear not getting it, so in order to control the environment, they use their foresight skills to make sure everything is going to work out before they attempt the big kill!
2. ARIES (March 21 - April 19)
Naturally intuitive, Aries is much more than good at predicting the future. They calculate their odds and make their choices based on facts mixed with feelings.
Aries comes equipped with foresight, which allows them to plan ahead. Like the army generals they are, they know success is all about planning, vision and what to take a chance on... and what not to.
3. VIRGO (August 23 - September 22)
Even though we associate Virgo with the nit-picky perfectionist, those traits actually come in handy when it's time to foresee into the future.
Say, for instance, an event is coming. Virgo wants to go, but knows in their heart that this event will only bring them down. They don't care about peer pressure, so when their spider senses kick in and tell them to stay home, they stay. Virgo uses foresight to self-protect.
4. PISCES (February 19 - March 10)
When you're the worry wart that Pisces is, you can't help but use your foresight as an asset that will work for you. Pisces doesn't take anything for granted; they want it in writing, in cement and in stone.
This sign has broad range vision and is able to predict the future almost flawlessly, at least when it comes to family matters. They are smart, insightful, cautious and clever.
5. CANCER (June 21 - July 22)
Cancer is another of the intuitive signs, and they don't like taking risks, so things can get pretty calculated. They do they math, and if the numbers check out, they plow ahead.
However, if something looks fishy, they are the first to halt and retreat. Their foresight works for them when it comes to pacing themselves and knowing what's worth fighting for and what's not.
6. SAGITTARIUS (November 22 - December 21)
Another of the fire signs with foresight, Sagittarius is also the loner, and when you spend as much time alone as Sagittarius does, you tend to spend a lot of time in your head.
For those born under this sign, foresight, hindsight and just about any ol' mental configuration comes naturally to you; you see what's going to happen, and it does. You predict what's to come, and it does. Sagittarians are intuitive, psychic and solitary.
