No one wants to work for a paycheck. You want purpose and passion, pride and joy while building a career.

When you feel lost in life, or you just don’t feel like you’re of much value at your job, it's always a good idea to seek advice and answers anywhere you can find them… including numerology.

Like astrology, numerology is a way to bring a part of who you are to the surface so that you can learn more about who you are and what you want out of life.

It’s not always going to give you a perfect answer, but that’s not the job of numerology.

Knowing what your life path is is just a way to become more in tune with the complex individual that you are.

If you’re feeling like your job isn’t really much of a career at all – more of a way to earn a steady paycheck – you might want to look at your life path and see what kind of job would be better for you.

Trust me, it’s scary jumping from one career to another, especially when it’s in a completely different industry.

It’s kind of like being stranded somewhere without your phone or much direction at all.

Sure, you’ll get your bearing eventually, but it’s going to take some time for you to fully get the situation and comfortable.

When you decide that you want a new career, it’s up to you to decide how you’re going to take the next step.

Do you quit and then look for a job? Do you do some interviewing and job searching on the side while you still work your 9 to 5?

Career experts will tell you a million different things, and if you ask me, there isn’t really a right and a wrong way to switch careers.

All I know is this: if something in your life is making you unhappy, it’s probably in your best interest to leave that behind and find something that does make you happy.

Life is too short to be at a job you hate.

Trust me, I have seen more than a few people who hate their jobs but just won’t make a change. What I’ve always been interested in is the idea of the Dream Job.

You know, the job that you would drop literally everything for and probably move across the country if the opportunity was right and the timing was perfect.

And even when the timing isn’t perfect and the stars don’t quite align, we tell ourselves that we need to jump on this opportunity because it will probably never come along again, right?

But maybe the idea of a Dream Job really is just an idea. Is it worth it to take such a risk for a job that sounds good on paper?

Or even wait what might feel like a lifetime in hopes that your Dream Job will present itself to you eventually?

It’s important to always aspire to do something that you love – always. But it’s also a good idea to have realistically high expectations about your career, rather than a fairytale you know you may never achieve.

Not giving up is extremely important, but remembering that there may be more stepping stones to the perfect career than you expect is also important. Learning more about your life path is a good place to start if you’re feeling lost, or if you just need that extra motivation to go after what you already know you want.

If you ask me, it’s always a good idea to take risks if it’s for something that gets you excited. Just know that putting in the hard work is a must.
