When Is It The Right Time To Change Jobs, By Zodiac Sign Astrology

We’re not always fortunate to find our dream job on the first try… or the second or third.

It takes a lot of hard work and proving yourself to get where you want to be in life.

Some of us choose to stay in a job for several years before getting promoted to the job we really want. Some of us think that it’s better to gain skills and experience from a lot of different jobs in the same amount of time.

There are a lot of people out there who will tell you all sorts of different things about the best way to get the job you really want. And while these tips are good to keep in your back pocket, you should really do what feels right to you. It sounds kind of hokey, but it’s your life, you can decide what’s best for you and take tips from other people at the same time.

Even when you’re ready to move on from your current job, someone might tell you to wait it out or push through it. If you ask me, life is too short to stay in a job you can’t stand. And with the help of astrology, you can figure out when the right time is for your zodiac sign to change jobs. Deciding to quit your current job and find something new can be daunting.

Even if you’re completely ready to make the change, you’ve had the talk with your boss about when your last day will be, and you have a new job at the ready, it can still be scary.

Just as scary as not having any plan at all. You might not love your job – or like it even a little bit – but we all have our reasons for wanting to stay at the job we have instead of risking not being able to find something new or as decent as the job we have now.

You might not like your job, but you like your benefits package. Or you might like how close it is to home and all of your friends.

Or you like it because you get a paycheck and that helps you pay your bills every month. Whatever the reason is, you’re allowed to stick with a mediocre job until you have more time to figure out a better plan for your future.

That said, we all have our breaking points, according to astrology, when it becomes less about tolerating your job and more about making a change for the better.

You might already have this feeling that you need to make a change, but you’re not sure exactly what it is yet. Luckily for you, astrology is here to help.

Here is how to know if it’s time to change jobs, based on your zodiac sign.

ARIES (March 21 - April 19)

When you first started your job, Aries, you were probably excited and totally pumped to get started. Knowing that someone wants you at their company and is willing to make sh*t happen to make you happy and comfortable is a nice feeling. We can place your passion and interest for your job at a high average then.

As you learned new software, met your colleagues, and got involved in the company culture, that passion and interest started to increase. Now, however, it feels less like an exciting endeavor and more like a long-term commitment you’re not sure you want anymore.

When you start caring less and less about your contribution at your company, it’s time to consider changing jobs and finding something new that makes you feel excited to go to work again.

TAURUS (April 20 - May 20)

There are times when you’ve felt like you’ve gotten a job simply for the stability, Taurus, and there’s no shame in that. You have bills to pay, after all! But even when a job hasn’t been your favorite, you’ve still made the most of it – experience is just as important as making a name for yourself. Now, however, experience isn’t feeling like enough.

It’s time for you to consider changing jobs if you feel like you’re wasting your time. The work you do just feels like busy work, you don’t really feel like your boss cares about you OR your contributions, and you don’t feel like you’re operating at your fullest potential. If you feel like you clock in and clock out while life is passing you by, it’s time for something new. Change IS good, Taurus.

GEMINI (May 21 - June 20)

You’re one of those zodiac signs that likes waking up excited for the day ahead of you, Gemini. The sun is shining, you have a full schedule ahead of you, and life is good. While others might take advantage of the good job they have, you try not to. That said, when the thunderclouds roll in, physically or otherwise, it can be hard to shake the gloomy feelings.

It might be time for a job change if you find yourself dreading going to work. If you wake up already feeling annoyed, stressed, or sick, it’s because you’re not feeling fulfilled at your job anymore. Don’t ignore these feelings – look around for new jobs in your free time. It’s only a matter of time before you resent your job, so it’s probably best to look for something new while you’re still feeling motivated.

CANCER (June 21 - July 22)

You try not to dwell on negative emotions, Cancer, but when you’re stuck in a job you don’t really like anymore, it’s kind of hard NOT to feel negative. You can be a pessimist at times, and when you’ve been in a job long enough to not see a bright side to any problem or issue you deal with, it’s time to call it quits.

There’s only so much someone can take of feeling undervalued, underappreciated, and even underpaid before they snap. Wallowing in your negative feelings about your job will only make you resent it even more. Change is scary, but it’s necessary. You deserve to find your happiness, Cancer.

LEO (July 23 - August 22)

Yes, your job is technically “work,” but if you love what you do, Leo, your job doesn’t have to feel like work at all. If your job doesn’t bring you joy anymore, it’s probably a good time to start looking for something new. Even if you like your boss and colleagues, there’s a difference between feeling challenged satisfied and feeling beat down at the end of every day.

You enjoy work that brings a sense of passion as much as it challenges you, Leo. When it starts to feel like just another day at the office, it’s time for you to make a change. Your job should be something you enjoy doing but still pushes you to work hard and make it feel like a job well done at the end of the day.

VIRGO (August 23 - September 22)

You’re willing to suffer a bit for your work, Virgo, as long as it’s worth it all in the end. But pain and suffering are not the same as thriving and happiness – don’t forget that. It’s time for you to think about changing jobs if you feel like your health is starting to suffer. And by health, I mean your physical, mental, and emotional health.

Sacrificing sleep, your daily gym routine, and proper nutrition for long days at the office is one thing, but sacrificing your mental health to please your boss and your emotional health to make room for all the stress in your life is another thing. Don’t let your health suffer just for a paycheck. There’s more to live for in life, Virgo. Time to start thriving, not surviving.

LIBRA (September 23 - October 22)

You know that there will be positive days and negative days at work, ups and downs, because that’s just how life is, Libra. You have to take the bad with the good and make it work (*Tim Gunn voice*). You’re not one to dwell on the crappy days at work because you know that there’s sunshine just around the corner for you to look forward to. In other words, you embrace this balance.

That said, any kind of imbalance can be total chaos for you. You try to honor your work-life balance – by making as much time for play as you do for work – but when it feels like there are more negative days than positive ones, it’s time for a change. You of all people are able to identify any kind of imbalance in your life, so don’t ignore it just for the paycheck. It’s time to find your balance again and consider a career change.

SCORPIO (October 23 - November 21)

It’s absolutely imperative for you to feel the good vibes in your office, Scorpio. Nothing throws you off more and makes you feel more unwelcome than having to be around a toxic boss or in a toxic work environment five days (or more) a week. You might have felt like a part of the team when you first started, but things can change quickly. Better consider a job change, Scorpio.

While you’re a pretty perceptive zodiac sign, it can be hard to tell if you’re just being overly sensitive or if there’s really some toxicity in the workplace. Look for cliques, scut work (or busy work with no real purpose), and a high turnover rate at your company. While the toxicity might not be directly affecting your work, it’s still affecting you by being around it.

SAGITTARIUS (November 22 - December 21)

You would never – or, at least, try not to – have a job that isn’t fun, Sagittarius. Life is too short and already full of un-fun responsibilities for you to hate your job on top of it all. If you’re questioning a change in your career, you probably already know the right answer, but it’s still a good idea to ask yourself some questions before you up and leave.

Before making any decisions, ask yourself if you’re learning and growing in your current position, if you’re having fun, and if your job is adding value to your life. If it just feels like another thing you have to do, it’s not worth your time anymore. Now is a great time to start thinking about other things you’d like to accomplish in life.

CAPRICORN (December 22 - January 19)

Your job is more than just a job to you, Capricorn. It’s a career and an investment in your future. When you’ve looked for new jobs in the past, you’ve looked for a company that sees you in their future as much as you see them in yours. The job you currently have, however, doesn’t feel the same as it did when you first started.

It’s time to change jobs when it doesn’t feel like you’re going anywhere anymore. When you first started your job, the company probably made some big promises to you. But a few years into it, and you realize you haven’t been advancing in any sense of the word. Just like your relationships, you need a long-term commitment from your job. This isn’t an investment worth your time, so it’s time to leave, Capricorn.

AQUARIUS (January 20 - February 18)

One of your biggest nightmares, Aquarius, is having a job that has no purpose or meaning; one that isn’t contributing positively to your life in any way. Commitment has never been your thing either, so it’s common for you to have midlife crises once a week or so. You find yourself regretting taking this job over that one, not traveling more when you had less responsibility, and so on.

While you’re willing to take risks in life and try new things, you almost need someone’s permission to start over and find a new job. Here is your green light, Aquarius. When you find yourself asking, “Is that it? Is this all I have to look forward to at this job?” it’s time to take the leap and try something different. It’s going to be scary (it almost always is), but it’s going to be worth it, too.

PISCES (February 19 - March 20)

Having a job shouldn’t just be a job to you, Pisces. You look for happiness, community, and value in your career. And as someone who is very good at reading people and situations, you’re pretty skilled in knowing when you don’t feel welcome. It’s a good time to change jobs if you’re starting to feel undervalued.

People might think you’re just looking to complain, but if you feel like you’re not being valued in your current position, then you absolutely should look for employment elsewhere. Feeling like you’re more than just another body at a computer, like the work you do and your presence at your company is appreciated, is more important than we sometimes know. Never settle, Pisces.
