We often associate the word “nurturing” with females, especially mothers. However, anyone, regardless of their gender, can be a nurturer. In fact, some careers like caregivers, nannies, and emergency nurses require someone who is nurturing.
And since astrology is responsible for our personality traits and characteristics, there's no doubt it takes someone special to be one of the nurturing zodiac signs.
Nurturers provide the things we need in order to thrive: food, care, and support. A nurturer will make sure that whoever or whatever is in their care is provided for physically, emotionally, and sometimes spiritually.
Being a nurturer is often overlooked as an admirable quality; it’s not flashy and is often quiet and low-key, but it’s still a powerful force. Nurturing is what we all need, especially when we’re just starting out in life. When you don’t have it when you’re a child, you tend to suffer that loss for the rest of your life.
Someone who tends to their garden and takes pains to make sure their plants thrive is a nurturer, every bit as much as the teacher who nurtures the talent of their students. These people not only take care of us, they help us to believe in our abilities and to be the best versions of ourselves.

1. CANCER (June 21 - July 22)
Cancer individuals are born nurturers — it's in their blood to take care of the people they love, and anyone else who needs them. Cancers make great caregivers because of their need to help people in a loving and thoughtful way.
Since they are very creative, they're able to think of different ways to provide the love and care that people need. Cancers are empathetic and intuitive; they can sense what someone needs, even sometimes before the other person does.
2. PISCES (February 19 - March 20)
Pisces are nurturing to all living creatures. If you find a bird with a broken wing or some other animal in trouble, you can be sure that Pisces will nurse it back to health and get a home for it.
Pisces are selfless and often put the needs of others above their own. They seem to have an endless supply of compassion and nurturing, and because of this, the world benefits greatly.
The only problem is that Pisces need to be careful that they save some care for themselves. If Pisces gives all their love to others, they'll be left depleted.
3. SAGITTARIUS (November 22 - December 21)
Sagittarius have huge hearts and often express their love in the way they care for people. A Sagittarius will be thoughtful and caring while also encouraging and supportive.
While they love to travel, if someone needs them, they will be there. Sagittarius knows that going out in nature and having a change of location is extremely therapeutic and the best thing for someone. Sagittarius will think outside the box when it comes to nurturing, but it still makes the person being nurtured feel loved and cared for.
4. CAPRICORN (December 22 - January 19)
One of the things that makes Capricorn a great nurturer is their ability to connect with people on a deep level. They are trustworthy, and someone in their care knows this and will feel loved and supported with Capricorn having their back.
Capricorns tend to be amazing parents, and the same qualities that make them wonderful co-workers, friends, and humans are the same that make them good at nurturing. They're patient, smart, practical, and have a sense of humor when a break in the tension is needed.
5. LIBRA (September 23 - October 22)
Libras are loving and considerate nurturers. They are there to lend their support, to encourage people to follow their dreams, and to take care of them. Libras have a lot of love to give, and they often express that love in the actions they take.
Taking care of people and providing the things they need most — love, compassion, and the basic necessities — is what Libra is best at. If you need someone to talk to when you're going through a bad time, they are the one to go to.
