One song, I’d Do Anything for Love, has the lyrics “I would do anything for love, but I won’t do that,” which, if you’ve ever been in love, is actually a pretty true statement. When we care about someone, there’s a lot we would do for them.
There are also things where we draw the line, but you get my point. Yes, I’d probably go save my boyfriend from a burning building, but would I pop a pimple on his back for him? Probably not. And if you ask him the same of me, I’m sure there are things he’s not comfortable doing, either.
Besides just love, we each have our limits to the things we would do in life, as well. Depending on your zodiac sign, there’s something out there that you would probably never do. You know, not unless you really had no choice, and probably not even then.
Maybe that thing has to do with love, maybe risk-taking has to do with your values or convictions, but whatever it is, you know without a shadow of a doubt that you won’t give in. If you ask me, I think it’s a good thing to stick to your guns.
Trust me, as someone who frequently deals with people who have zero boundaries and think they can push me to do whatever they want, it’s nice to know that I can put my foot down and refuse to do something when I’m not comfortable or if it’s not my responsibility.
When it comes to what your horoscope won’t do, it’s important to set boundaries, especially if you know that people will try to persuade you even when you put your foot down. Setting boundaries can be difficult at first – I’ve been working on setting boundaries forever, it feels like – but it’s worth it if you want a little more respect.
It just takes practice! In the meantime, here is what each zodiac sign never does, according to astrology.
ARIES (March 21 - April 19)
You’re a leader, Aries. If people don’t know that about you yet, they’re going to learn very soon. As a leader, you’re used to making the tough decisions that no one else is comfortable making, and you do it without breaking a sweat. In fact, it thrills you to know that people look up to your fearlessness.
One thing you’ll never do is ask for permission. In addition to being the fearless leader who goes on ahead without anyone’s approval or opinions, you also live life by your own rules. People can’t assume you’re going to ask for permission to live your own life, are they? That’s crazy talk!
TAURUS (April 20 - May 20)
No matter where life takes you, Taurus, the one thing that helps guide you on the right path is your set of core beliefs. Every relationship and new venture in your life starts with a secure, solid foundation of your values, which you always take time to cultivate. You want people to know who you are and what you believe in right up front.
The one thing you’ll never do? Stray from or change your core beliefs. You want to be known as the trustworthy, honest zodiac sign that people can trust, not someone who is constantly flip-flopping between one value and the next. That certainly doesn’t make people want you on their team. If there’s one thing you pride yourself on, it’s sticking to your guns.
GEMINI (May 21 - June 20)
As a Gemini, you prefer to look at the big picture. Anything too serious or anything that forces you to micromanage is just not something you feel like you can care about. As someone who gets restless often, you need to live a life that is always exciting, spontaneous, and interesting. Otherwise, it’s just a big ol’ pile of boring.
The one thing you’ll never see yourself doing is take negative things to heart. Life is way too short to get hung up on criticism and negative comments that are only meant to hold you back in life. You have way too many plans to ever consider letting someone else’s opinions control you. Uhh, no thank you!
CANCER (June 21 - July 22)
The one thing in life – or several things, really – that mean the world to you are your relationships, Cancer. Everything else could be crumbling around you, but knowing that you have a rock-solid support system to hold you up and be there for you is irreplaceable. Even though you’re thankful every day for who you have in your life, you still feel like you don’t give thanks enough.
That said, the one thing you’ll never do is ignore a friend in need. The amount of devotion you put into your friendships, relationships, and family is way too much for you to ever think about giving up on someone you love. You’d rather be known as the zodiac sign that cares too much, or does too much for the people you love, than never enough.
LEO (July 23 - August 22)
There’s not a lot that can separate you from your goals, Leo, if there’s anything at all. Like a lion, once you sink your teeth into something, no one else is going to even try to take that thing away from you. By “take away” I don’t mean just physically. People can insert their opinions, try to cut you down, and generally let you know that they don’t see success in your future, but all of that is just talk.
The one thing you’ll never do is settle for second best. You didn’t just get to where you are today because you decided to take a backseat to achieving your goals. You didn’t do it then and you certainly aren’t going to start doing it now. Let people hate, let them be jealous, you’re gonna be over here getting money and making moves.
VIRGO (August 23 - September 22)
When it comes to other people, Virgo, you like to think you’re pretty discerning. You know when people are BSing you, and you know when people are just trying to get sympathy for being a “good” person – even when it’s all a sham. When it comes to you, though, you always feel like there’s so much more you could be doing.
I think it’s safe to say that you’re pretty critical of yourself. You have such high expectations that you’re always striving to do and be better. People see that your humbleness is NOT just for show. And one thing you’ll never do is forget where you came from. Even when you finally perfect that one thing you’ve been hard at work on for ages, you take your success with humble gratitude and move onto the next project.
LIBRA (September 23 - October 22)
In your perfect world, Libra, everything worth living for would come easily and often. You are a true believer in all things beautiful and kind, and you really would do anything just to keep that beauty and kindness prevalent in your life. The same goes for love. The one thing you know that you would never do is give up on love.
While things that are chaotic and messy can seriously stress you out, you know that the best, most solid relationships are the ones that have been through it all and are still as strong as ever. Even when the going gets tough, you are NOT one to get going. Others may give up on love at the first sign of trouble, but not you, baby. You’re in it for the long haul.
SCORPIO (October 23 - November 21)
You’ve heard it all before, Scorpio, but it’s such a deeply set part of yourself that it bears repeating. You don’t open your heart up to just anyone. The reason you have such a small circle of friends is because you know that you can trust them with your entire being. Anyone else who tries to jam their way into your life is sure to get a stylish, yet practical boot to the curb.
Oh and, if it wasn’t already clear, you’re willing to extend that “booting” to anyone in your inner circle who breaks your trust. The one thing you’ll never do is tolerate dishonesty. I mean, that’s what all relationships are based on, in some form or another. And when you swipe that foundation right out from underneath someone’s feet, it all comes crashing down.
SAGITTARIUS (November 22 - December 21)
While it’s true that you were pretty much born with a plethora of opinions, Sagittarius, you don’t talk just to hear yourself speak. You talk because you want to be heard. You may have a lot to say, but it’s all important in your eyes. Sure, some people might roll their eyes and try to ignore you when you go on one of your rants, but they just don’t know you.
The one thing you’ll never do is keep your mouth shut when it comes to voicing your opinions and values. You don’t care if no one agrees with you; you’re going to say what’s on your mind because it’s important to you. Those who are silent in the face of injustice or a toxic opinion might as well be in favor of those things, right? Right.
CAPRICORN (December 22 - January 19)
One thing you are most well-known for, Capricorn, is getting back up again whenever life knocks you down. In fact, you love a challenge, and failure is just a way for you to let the world know that you’re not even close to being done with it yet. It’s commendable, Capricorn, really. Sometimes, you even surprise yourself.
So, obviously, the one thing you’ll never do is let hardship and failure stand in your way. You will push through any setback or failure to succeed because being able to go through anything and come out on the other side is incredibly meaningful to you. Honestly, no one has the stamina and determination you do, which makes it so admirable.
AQUARIUS (January 20 - February 18)
You’re willing to try anything once, right, Aquarius? I mean, life really can’t be worth living if you don’t take risks and try new things. How else are you going to experience life, amirite? Even if you find that you hate something, you can at least say that you gave it your all and really gave it a fair shot.
Speaking of giving it your all, the one thing you’ll never do is half ass something you care about. In reality, you probably aren’t going to half-ass anything because that’s just not who you are – you’re a whole ass kinda person. But when it comes to something that really does mean a lot to you, you will always give it your best shot. “Quitting” isn’t even in your vocabulary.
PISCES (February 19 - March 20)
One thing people like to throw in your face, Pisces, is that you are an emotional person. When others think of being emotional, they think of not being able to control the waterworks. In reality, you are in touch with your emotions and are comfortable expressing yourself where others might clam up.
Another thing people like to make you feel bad about is letting your emotions show when you’re feeling them, rather than stuffing them down like a repressed adult child. The one thing you’ll never do? Let the negativity of others bring you down. Contrary to what they think, you are stronger because of your emotions, not in spite of them. So, let them hate, I say.
