They treat every battle as a major one.

What does it mean to pick your battles? The loose definition is making a choice not to engage in small, petty, unimportant or losing arguments, competitions, or confrontations, and instead reserving one’s energy for fights that are more important or where one has a better chance of winning.
Not everyone is good at being able to tell which things to ignore and which to engage in, and there are certain zodiac signs who don't know how to pick their battles. Honestly, it can be exhausting if you’re the type of person who takes offense or always has to make a big deal about every little thing, and it’s even more difficult if you’re in a relationship with someone like this.
That's where astrology comes in, because for some people, they get off on conflict; it makes them energized and there are many things that happen in life they can find fault with and turn it into a battle. It can be anything from not unloading the dishwasher to finding out something that happened in the past.
If someone is looking for a fight, it’s not hard to manifest one. Actually, it’s often much more difficult to avoid a battle, something that can take skill and patience.
1. ARIES (March 21 - April 19)
When Aries is tense or angry, it's extremely difficult for them to stay calm. They're impulsive so they tend to react without taking a moment to think if a big reaction is the best course.
They need to step away, take a few breaths, and then decide if they want to get into it, but their first response is to react. They tend not to choose their words carefully or consider the effect their words have on other people.
2. CANCER (June 21 - July 22)
Cancers are extremely emotional and tend to react without thinking about the results of their actions. When you're someone who is heart-ruled, your emotions will obscure what your brain is telling you, so you may react rashly.
With Cancers, their every emotional turmoil can end in a battle. These battles can cause bad feelings to intensify, making the whole situation even worse. They take every confrontation personally, which raises the stakes even higher.
3. GEMINI (May 21 - June 20)
Geminis are confident that they'll most likely win every battle, so why shouldn't they engage in them? When they find themselves struggling in a huge conflict, they'll refuse to ask for help, even if their relationship or something they hold dear is at risk.
They assume the other person is aware of the issue and that they're on the same page, even when they're not. Geminis don't understand that people don't change because you want them to, and it's pointless to get angry about it.
4. VIRGO (August 23 - September 22)
Virgos take a lot of pride in how intelligent they are, and they're willing to get into a battle in order to ensure their reputation of being the smartest person in the room is upheld. They should know that you can get a message across much better if you say it instead of yelling it.
Losing an argument doesn't mean you know nothing, because nobody knows everything. Being right isn't more important than a healthy relationship or the respect of your peers for knowing when to back down.
5. SAGITTARIUS (November 22 - December 21)
It would be great if instead of engaging, Sagittarius could look at the big picture and prevent a battle by addressing an issue, but they can't. Sagittarians rarely pause and look at their motivation.
They may be stressed about money, work, or their health, but instead of asking themselves if a fight is what they are seeking, they end up battling. They don't love conflict, but they can say things that rub people the wrong way.
6. LEO (July 23 - August 22)
Leos are good at fighting because they're courageous and smart, but they don't seem to understand that they shouldn't turn an ordinary disagreement into a battle. Leos don't get that it's imperative to only fight about issues that are important, and that it's okay to let some things go for the sake of a relationship.
Leos should know that instead of fighting, they should ask their partner for their help in solving the problem.
