They talked about how to reel in the perfect guy, how to cope with being single, how to make sure you make the right impression and how to give off signs that you're open and available.
Part of me wondered why, all of a sudden, being single seen as such a negative thing?

Single life can sometimes be lonely, for obvious reasons. We are social creatures, and we love being cozy with someone we love, which can make it hard to be alone. It's natural to crave that kind of closeness and intimacy that comes with romantic relationships.
But, honestly, single life can also be one of the best things to happen to you — especially if you're leaving a toxic relationship or taking some time to find yourself.
Being single doesn't mean there's something wrong with you or that you'll never fall in love. It just means that you're content on your own and able to take time for yourself.
Being single means you can eat half a gallon of ice cream without sharing, and you get to prioritize your own wants and needs without having to make compromises. What's so bad about that?
The truth is that I don't want a man in my life if I don't think he will genuinely make my life better by being a part of it. I would rather stay single and content with the life I've built for myself than deal with a relationship that doesn't add to my life in a positive way.
There is something to be said for taking the time to just enjoy your life and be happy on your own.

I'll be honest, I didn't understand why people say that you have to love yourself before you love someone else for a long time. But, when you're happy with who you are and the life you live, you have a much more solid base walking into a relationship when you're ready.
